Okay,Davann. You totally set yourself up. You do realize that you came off as suggesting that men choose their woman for her housekeeping skills? This is not really any different by choosing a woman based upon looks. I mean, don't most of us choose a mate based upon a whole package of qualities in varying amounts?

I would not have married a woman that I found unattractive, and I would not have married a slob, but there was so much more to consider on top of that. BTW, my wife is by no means a libertarian - but her personal ethics and morals were ones I found very appealing. Besides, I'm really rubbing off on her.

Remember though, she didn't come right out and tell you to F' your mother.

I agree however as I got older my list of requirements relaxed quite a bit.  In the end I joked that my partner's only requirement was does he have a job.  Not exactly true but I wasn't nearly as picky as I was when I was 20 by the time I was 38.

As men age we grow more mature, financially and socially stable, and generally more appealing to women. As women age, their standards gradually drop. Finally, equilibrium is reached and a proper match can be made.
 

In truth, I think that both descriptions apply to both sexes.
