FK is *not* the FSP.
I am merely the one of the most vocal anti-FK members of FSP. Many of the most effective activists I've spoken to -- the ones who are profoundly libertarian, yet are liked and in some cases elected by their neighbors in town -- share the opinion that FK has, as a whole, been on balance at least somewhat of a negative, a liability, a detriment, to the goal of Liberty in our Lifetime, within NH.
Not because of the motives, but because of the implementation. It's just very confrontational, in your face, very un-New-England, very un-New-Hampshire.

And I can already hear Ian's cognitive dissonance rationalizations kicking in.
Dude... the brand is so bad, it's like maybe they should start killing puppies or advocating for cannibalism. It AMAZINGLY bad. Talk about losing the battle for hearts and minds!

sillyperson,

Do you oppose them on specific grounds?  Are you against slashing the school budget and for lower taxes?   Do you watch the town meeting where school bureaucrats came out in droves to break the law and voted for higher budget?

Do you know what politics is?    It's a way to resolve conflicts without killing.   So it's not designed to be polite so the other side will win.  There's no civility in it except ruse mostly by the establishment.

"Almost seems as if they walked in the door and started running for office and hold positions," she says. "It's not the typical way someone who's a New Englander does things."

You said exactly the same thing O'Reilly said in Grafton so you're O'Reilly or became aware of the NPR article.   What she said is just an expression of territorial complex.   What you said is not far above the the level of a dog lifting a leg to piss on a tree to mark territory.   Someone said to Ridley that he doesn't own NH or some such and Ridley replied that the person owns his house if he has one and that's that.   Do you seriously own anything beyond renting it because you're paying taxes?

With such base instincts, you, Gorman, and O'Reilly have something in common and with cameras we will catch you in the act of sexually abusing animals or some such.

And O'Reilly is a transplant to Grafton.

FSP has not disown FK so FK is still part of FSP.

I feel like he's already answered that.

Not because of the motives, but because of the implementation.

Do you oppose them on specific grounds?
Yes. As Dale noted. For their counterproductive methods.

Are you against slashing the school budget and for lower taxes?
Well I'm an anarchist, so pretty much any reduction in taxation or budget is A Good Thing in my mind.

Do you know what politics is?
I think so. I've been elected to the Board of Selectmen in my town; I've served as vice-chair of the NH Libertarian Party; I've served on the Board of Directors of the NH Liberty Alliance; I've been intimately involved with the outcome of several defining votes in the NH House of Representatives.

What you said is not far above the the level of a dog lifting a leg to piss on a tree to mark territory.
Why, thank you for your illuminating and insightful elucidation. It is gems like these that keep me coming back to the FTL BBS, after all these years.
Well, either that, or the chicks and kickass fire trucks. One or the other.

FSmember1111 was a troll on this forum and the FSP Forum. The Free State Project doesn't have members.

Sillytroll is sillier than sillyperson. Since FK was never a part of the FSP, the FSP cannot disown FK. The only legal connections that I know of are that FK helps sponsor PorcFest and Liberty Forum. All kind of groups have done that from political parties, to PACs to book stores and so on.

There are only two possible solutions with Free Keene:

1. They're agents of the Federal Government out to make the "normal" FSPers (rational types) look like complete buffoons, jackasses, and total idiots. They are there to turn the population against the philosophy of liberty and the FSP in general.

2. They are really that fucking stupid. And if so, God help everyone moving to New Hampshire.
