The Polling Pit / Re: Does Anime Suck?

PS:  I am biased.  I was the Vice President of the Ball State University Japanese Animation Society (1992-1994).
92-94...man, anime was still in its early stages back then...kudos to you.  You should definitely check out some of the newer ones.  Believe me, they've only gotten better and better since then.

Oh yeah, tape trading, paying someone in Japan to copy tapes, all of that.  Half the shit I owned at the time wasn't even dubbed or subtitled.  I have seen a lot of the newer stuff too, I am just a sucker for the classics.

And for those hating on the Quakester over here, our club was the one of the largest non-political/non-racial clubs around.  We did many campus wide presentations in the auditorium.  Hell, we sold out "Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honneamise", "Lupin 3", "Akira", and a few others (and of course highly illegal).  Our Ranma 1/2 marathon went pretty well too.

Akira obviously is a great action/sci-fi flick.
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (and really most anything Studio Ghibli does) is one of my all time favorites.
Grave of the Fireflies is great if you want your heart ripped out and stomped on.  :)

Anime can be great...just like you can't watch 1 Hollywood movie and pass judgment on ALL Hollywood movies, you just have to give them a few chances.

Nothing wrong with a BBW.

I think that is true.  To me Personality and Confidence is far more attractive than the actual physical presentation, to me anyway.  Give me a fun loving, confident big lady over a skinny stuck up bitch any day.

I voted for 'not Lindsey', because I don't like auto-erotic asphyxiation, even betweenÂ…  ample breasts.

Oh I do.  Bring on the asphyxiation...I mean the kind that results from the ample breasts, so warm, soft, round, snug, and um.  Well, just ignore the mess.

Well the breast type or the thigh type...you know, straddling the jaw and all.

Well apparently I'm a penisbutt, and that's why nobody likes me.

Nope.  And you can stop telling me how ugly and awful I am.

I love how much the people here don't like me.  It's like...I'm actually nice to these people, and I read all of their threads and put up with all of their bullshit, and moderate it so they can look at it at work and not get fired, yet I'm still hated.

It's okay Lindsey...I dig ya!

The Polling Pit / Re: Tricky Question
« on: December 07, 2006, 10:24:36 PM »

So, if someone you knew (maybe not a best friend, just someone who you trusted not to be lying) told you that he or she killed a politician / government bureaucrat  (not in self defense), would you turn them in?

Absolutely not.  As it is, the police can't solve crimes without people telling them who did it anyway.  When was the last time the police actually solved a murder without a random tip?  (The last episode of Law & Order doesn't count!)  Most of the time, this is because they spend far too much time in the War On Drugs.

Besides, if I rat them out, they go to prison and then my money is being taken under the threat of murder to pay for someone who committed murder.  :)

Is it wrong that I think they look hotter as demons?

Either way man.  It's all good!

I want the Steve Irwin model of the Stingray.... *ducks*

You know, most people probably "bitchslapped" you for that.  I am going to applaud you for it, because, dammit, that was funny!

Yeah...I did that.  Still not sure.  I think I see a photoshop border line on the sign, but it may not have been one.

The new Hall Of Shame entry, Ally, says that the fake is really good.  It also challenges you to find the proof.

I give up.  Can anyone clue me in?

Well, I wouldn't kick Jenna outta bed for eatin' crackers.  That is for sure.

Besides I would like to do to her what her father, grandfather, and others have been doing to me for years!

Don't know if this one was mentioned before.  I don't want to read through 39 pages of posts to see.

www.kindgirls.com  best free site ever.  No popups!!!!  It is spanktastic.

General / Re: Magical note that allegedly scares off cops
« on: March 17, 2006, 01:15:09 PM »
Plus as Manwich stated on Wednesday night's show, cops now-a-days are just way too trigger happy.

Think of that army MP (I think it was army) who just got back and was shot 3 times.  He was following the direct instructions and complying with EVERYTHING the officer was saying.  I addition, he was stating to the officer exactly what he was doing.
Officer: Get up!
Victim: Okay, I am getting up.
*BLAM* *BLAM* *BLAM*
And about this case...why did the cop have his gun out anyway?

Think of the handicapped kid that was shot to death.  He was shot because the office THOUGHT he was an escaped prisoner.  What a great excuse for these violent bastards to start using.

Although I like the idea of the note, I would be afraid for being shot for any reason they want to make up.
