Filesharing may very well be illegal, same as growing cannabis or distilling alcohol without government permission, but it is not a crime.
As has been thrashed out in other threads on copyright and patent, there is no theft. There is no depriving anyone of anything by the simple act of having a copy.
Filesharing is not a crime, although it may be absurdly illegal. Luke Smith is right, above, this is profiteering under color of law.
