I can see the thought in their faces, picturing me burning in hell. UFO believers, conspiracy theorists, new agers and all that are a different sort of scary than religious folks, a non-intrusive kind for the most part.
Religious people clearly have biases against atheist, but so do atheist have biases against theist.
Admit it all you atheist. When you hear someone say they are a theist, you form a bias against them.
You may question their rational reasoning abilities or their system of logic. You do this partly b/c you think they are dumber than you for believing in God.
I'm guilty of it.
It's just the same as a theist forming a bias against us when they hear we are an atheist. Mostly they think we are dumber than them for not believing in God.
Just a thought.
