I listened to that recording a few more times because Ian kept saying "oh yeaaaah, oh yeaah".

If you play that part repeatedly, you get more than just the cop enjoying hearing about it.  He wishes it had been him instead of that other guy who did the shooting and has done it himself at some point in the past.  He is one of the ones who joined up for that purpose and now he is behind the desk instead of out there doing it.

A poor attempt to distract with an irrelevant (and untrue) statement.  The claim is still deceptive...

They keep saying "Free pound of coffee... Free...free free" -

Folks it is NOT free or anything near free.  This is totally deceptive - the shipping they charge covers the cost of the shipping AND the product.

If you think it is free then ask them if you can pick it up at their original location and see how that goes...

Episodes & Show Prep / BRLP vs. FSP
« on: February 13, 2014, 02:23:08 AM »
The BRLP is no competition for the FSP because nobody is actually moving there for it.  The caller pretty much admits this himself when Ian asks, and you can see this by looking at their fb page (their main web site taken down).  So I don't think you have anything to be much concerned about it.  And those who are there do very little than have pizza once in awhile.  The explanations for choosing the area and the qualities of the location may be true, but the FSP is light years ahead of this blue ridge thing for now (and probably for the foreseeable future).

That caller's warning was not so far from the truth - now we find out the cost will be about twice what was being repeated.  Well, You can make the cost as low as you want and then jack the shipping to make up for it anyway.  Are there really that many people who want to afford a 35+ box of candy fruit?  Buying overpriced food via the mail is always a risk to begin with.  Repeat customer and high-volume sales not needed huh... just a few poor gullible bastards to buy a box and then on to the next great thing (how about some more "free" coffee to go with that).

Episodes & Show Prep / Strawberries at rediculous costs
« on: February 08, 2014, 01:23:32 AM »
That caller's warning was not too far off actually - and with all of the horing of this product going on, the call was a good one.  This is definitely some scheme now that we find out the cost will be like doubled.  You could also just say they are free and then charge $50 shipping too.  Who is going to pay upwards of $35 for a box of some strawberries and that you can't even see first?  Buying overpriced food thru the mail is never a good idea.
But I guess it's better to rip a few people off than have to ship out a load of product at a fair price huh.

I wanted to update that the host of concern has been more focused lately since having some time away, and I have enjoyed hearing the program recently.  But I do think that having many third hosts rotating all the time is ideal.  Having only the two main hosts with occasional 'informational guest' would be the best!

If it wasn't bad enough for Mark stepping all over this guy concerning the Constitution (stop & take a breath for christ sakes), then at the end of the call both hosts rake into the caller with Ian telling him about how pointless his efforts are because he does not move.  They guy is trying to tell us what is going on somewhere else, and all they can say is "enjoy the chains" and hang up?  What total pricks they are - and that precious list they constantly praise about how free is NH:  total BS.  It is nothing more than an opinion based on select factors.  They should know that in reality how free a place is depends on an individual's situation in regard to many things (especially taxation).  In any case, this call is quite revealing regarding their motivations...

The Show / Host excessive behaviour

One of the hosts needs to get a grip on the obnoxious, loud and annoying vocals lately.  Last night was just too much - the podcast was halted at my household and really I was happy to turn it off because it was becoming irritating listening to him going on over Rand Paul.  It's like an old woman in the room that you just want to tell to shut up and breath.  It's too bad because I want to hear the subject matter and the other hosts but not with this nonsense.  While the program overall is definitely more entertaining than a ten-minute blow-hard like "ernest hancock", these outbursts are not helping the value of the conversation there and making me want to take a long break from it.

Episodes & Show Prep / Mark's voice
« on: May 14, 2013, 02:24:20 AM »
Mark's voice has become so obnoxious, loud and annoying lately.  Tonight just crossed the line - I had to stop the podcast due to complaint from the next room in the household.  And really I was happy to turn it off because it was quite irritating just hearing his over the top rants on Rand Paul that I wanted to switch to something else.  He sounds like an old woman that you just want to tell to shut the up.  This is not agreeable because I do want to hear the topics but lately have skipped through some of this nonsense - it adds nothing worth the time and makes one wonder if this guy is about to pop a spring or what.

They are selling this fiat 'bitcoin' hardcore - why do they think we want to hear this drill over and over how great it is?  I do want to hear about it when the bubble explodes and everyone is crying about their loss... no thanks I'll stay in dollars.  At least the value change there is steady and by far more simple to transact.
