General / It's Christmas in November!

After reading about all the free stuff being offered to veterans today by everyone from Macy's department store to the local pub, I decided to invest in one of those camouflage outfits and I've been walking around in it all day. (I didn't spring for the matching combat boots, so I'm wearing the felt-soled boots that I wear with my chest waders when I go trout fishing). Anyway, I started out the day with a free breakfast at a local chain restaurant, followed by $200 off my purchases at Macy's, then another free meal at another local eaterie. I caught part of the local Veterans Day parade, but I think I strained my back from all the stooping over to allow all those women to give me a hug and kiss while thanking me for my "service." I'd better take a nap now — I'm within walking distance of at least a dozen happy hours that get started in about two hours.

General / Podcasts other than FTL you listen to
« on: November 06, 2011, 10:21:48 AM »
I just tried some of Jesse Brown's podcasts at: http://feeds.tvo.org/tvo/searchengine
and I think they're pretty interesting with discussion about internet freedom being a main topic.

General / Wildlife living around you...
« on: October 28, 2011, 11:05:00 AM »
I live in the Ouachita's in Arkansas, and we have lots of wild life around here.
Some I've seen are: raccoons, possums, deer, armadillos, rabbits, squirrels, cougars, bobcats, coyotes, bears, and little ones.
What's around you?

General / Al - thanks for the link

Al, I really thank you for the freedom feen link. That's a good podcast. I like how they'll break out with a full Dead Kennedy's song right in the middle of the podcast. That's cool.
The sound quality is damn good - I couldn't listen to the Puke one with Stephanie cuz the audio quality was so poor.
Thanks again!
