« on: July 26, 2010, 02:58:28 AM »
I was wondering what the best site is to go for youtube downloading.  I tried CNET but that didn't seem to work as well as youtubedownload.altervista.org and it didn't work either.  Any suggestions?

Yeah I guess I didn't consider all of the numerous aspects of the police state and the chance for cops to enforce more of the surveillance state on us.

That white guy in the picture above Magic Johnson's head is Mitch Daniels-the governor of Indiana who used to be Bush's Office of Management Bureau director...and yes hes a total douchebag.

This just happened here tonight downtown at the Black Expo and I'm sure it will be all over the news in the next few weeks. I noticed how the police reported (in a video) that one of the kids arrested had pot on him and a firearm.  I guess thats killing 2 birds with one stone for the govt.  Its just more justification for stricter prohibition laws for pot and firearms.  They also mention the curfew for teenagers, which even though its been going on for along time, is still totally wrong.  I got a kick out of the fact there were over 390 cops downtown with 97 cops around this exact area and this still occurred.  Oh yeah-they also got the traffic cameras all over too.  Gee the police do such a wonderful job, don't they?

I'm just waiting for someone like AJ to start reading stories like this.  "The Obama Youth Corps is just running around the place at black people events shooting innocent people.  They get handcuffed, sent down to the police station, and told by the feds there to let them go. This is happening all the time now."

This is an article I found on Drudge and thought it to be a bit ironic since Ian has talked about it a bit.

General / Questions on legal buds
« on: July 07, 2010, 01:28:40 AM »
First off, I'm sure I know less than the average person on this site about this subject but I was checking out the Cannibus Culture website and came across another site-www.legalbuds.com.  Has anyone else on here heard of this (more than likely so) and what are your thoughts on this stuff?  Why isn't this stuff selling like hotcakes?  I was checking out some reviews of sites that was saying International Oddities products are nothing but a scam. What other companies have a bad reputation? Is this the same thing as K2 or something else? If it is decent stuff I know a lot of old-fashioned pot smokers (who have never heard of K2 or any possible replacement to pot) that would love to buy something new and interesting-especially if they know its not a scam and relatively safe.

General / Businesses not paying sales taxes are shut down
« on: June 18, 2010, 10:09:36 PM »
I was watching the news from one of the local tv channels and the Indiana IRS is shutting down businesses for not paying sales taxes they "owe."  Words mean things and I shouldn't be so surprised that the government uses terms like "owe" that don't mean what they are intended to mean.  How on earth does a business "owe" the state anything?  Isn't this the same kind of behavior the mafia used to engage in?  I don't mean to put the mafia down in comparing them to the government but people need to ask these questions-and much more more seriously-individuals and business owners need to start engaging in civil disobedience on a level never seen before.  I would open that business right back up and cuss the IRS cunt out that came in to enforce her dictates. Heres the story-and its under "Back sales taxes force closing of pet store."

General / Indianapolis police brutality case
« on: June 10, 2010, 07:59:45 PM »
I don't know if this story received national attention or not but there was a local police brutality incident here in Indy involving a 15 year old who pretty much got his face bashed in by an out-of-control thugs calling themselves "the police."

I was talking to several inner city blacks at work about this case and they were surprised again that I, a white person, happen to give a shit about what happens with them and the police state that has existed for so long in the inner city.  I them told them about the famous Martin Neimoller statement about "first they came for the communists..." and that even though the police state has been so prevalent for so long in their world it has now reached to the suburban and rural areas thanks to Americans overall complacency and not caring about controlling their police.

Whats so sickening about this case is that the main gestapo-like thug involved did get fired but the other 2 just got reprimanded.  If anyone else engaged in this kind of behavior towards anyone we would be thrown in jail for along time.  These assholes aren't getting any jail time though.

What I would like to see happen is these cops getting arrested and thrown behind bars for at least a few months.  The judge would then go down to the jails and tell the inmates they have full permission to do whatever they want to the cops.  If they don't want to do anything to them that's fine (although highly unlikely), if they want to tear them limb to limb quickly that's fine as well, and if they want to put them through slow, prolonged excruciating pain that's fine too.

At any rate, heres the story.  If anyone wants to find out more about this just google "indianapolis police brutality 15 year old boy" or check the local news here.

General / Air card questions
« on: June 03, 2010, 02:50:04 AM »
After waiting in line last week at Comcast for over 80 minutes (the line was out the door all day long from what I heard,) not getting served, AND waiting in line the next day for 40 minutes I was wondering how else I can get the net without Comcast.  I was wondering since laptop computers have wireless cards why don't desktops?  I asked my Dad whose a computer programmer about this and he said there is something called the air card.  He said its pretty expensive though.  Does anyone have any comments on these things?

General / Police to population ratios
« on: May 28, 2010, 05:01:37 AM »
I've noticed a disturbing trend the last few years, and particularly the last few months, with the amount of police in the local area.  I do live in Indianapolis and I understand increased police for the Indy 500 but never the less its an issue and I seem to be the only one around noticing it.

Im wondering how towns/counties/state govts figure this out.  Im sure larger cities like Indy has a higher police-population ratio but I work in a very small town outside Indy that has about 500 residents and I think 4-5 cops.  From what Ive heard there are 4 new subdivisions being built in this town and they are bringing in another 2 cops to the town pd.  I just see them everywhere now-the city, suburbs, the country, regardless of the time of day.  I don't remember seeing this many when I was younger. Does anyone know how to find this out or who to yell at (like it will matter) if I find any troubling trends?

I'm guessing the govt is always adding more state troopers, sheriffs, and local cops because they can and even if a particular city/town/state has people moving out of it the American sheeple dont seem to give a fuck about liberty and wouldnt notice anyways (Ive gotten in a few pretty vocal arguments with fascists I work with about this).

General / What is the line between civil disobedience and violence
« on: May 04, 2010, 03:28:50 AM »
I know Ian and Mark have covered this on their show lately but I'm pretty open to any comments by anyone.

Right now in the U.S. the problem of tyranny (at the local, state, and federal level) seems like it should be countered by people simply living their lives like any other day while disobeying laws, regulations, not paying taxes, or refusing to follow other government dictates.   I understand how living in New Hampshire around other liberty activists could help but civil disobedience could happen anywhere.  It goes on all the time too from someone simply not filling out the feds census form to selling drugs and getting thrown in jail.

As pretty much anyone can see though tyranny is getting worse on every possible level and living a peaceful life is, and will be, much harder with more laws, regulations, taxes, and government action taken every day that’s controls more and more areas of our lives.

This has hit me recently and especially tonight when I saw on FTL’s site the Penn. State governments  Orwellian threat to pay taxes. How the fuck should someone react to this?  Even if a few people called into that state office screaming to take that video off its website the fact alone that they even had the nerve to do it is astonishing.

When is the line drawn between disobeying the state and starting to plan an actual physical revolution on the government?  At any level this applies.  I doubt much could be done effectively due to the massive technology and weaponry the state has but they couldn’t do much to tens and thousands of people storming D.C. (or any capital city/building.)

I have to say I like a good degree of what Gandhi did but sooner or later that “eye for an eye makes the whole world blind” nonsense has to end and weapons need picked up and used.  He simply took the idea too far. I just wonder when that point is.

I personally think nothing like this will end up happening though.  What looks like what will happen is in 5-10 years so the dollar was take a serious plunge and an ounce of gold will be at $5,000.  Riots will start on a regular level in urban areas and God only knows where it will go after that. Hopefully state secession throughout the country will be a much more popular topic and could actually happen.

For anyone who thinks civil disobedience should be taken all the way I would have to quote Robert Heinlein- “Those who cling to the untrue doctrine that violence never settles anything would be advised to conjure up the ghosts of Napoleon Bonaparte and of the Duke of Wellington and let them debate it. The ghost of Hitler could referee, and the jury might well be the Dodo, the Great Auk, and the Passenger Pigeon. Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst. Nations and peoples who forget this basic truth have always paid for it with their lives and freedoms."

I saw this on google video and thought it was interesting.  I suppose I would make a comment on this article but I'm still, for some odd reason, speechless at the Pennyslvania government's totalitarian video "advertisement"/threat about paying taxes.
