She probably looked better when she had real breasts.

They're real on the outside.

You keep saying that shit. Everybody's real on the outside.

I'm not.

You're not old.

That had nothing to do with the fact that the first time I had sex was when you were four years old. SEVENTEEN YEARS AGO.

If I told you how many years ago the first time I had sex was, you might be upset.

I'm guessing 17 years ago.

That would be disgusting.  I'm 21, you freako.

I'm not a freako.  I just assumed you were a disgusting person.

The Polling Pit / Who will Mark vote for for president?

Well, how 'bout it?  He seems to go from one position to another depending on the time and his mood.

expect ammo import bans fairly soon.

.50 BMG becoming class 3 weapons is very likely in my opinion.  Class 3 restrictions could be placed on other guns too, maybe handguns if he were to get what he would like.  Also, I would expect an increase in class 3 transfer taxes.

I'll stand, with respect to those around me. Just as I would if I were in a foreign country and they played its anthem. But, no hand on heart.

This. No reason to get in a fight with a belligerently drunk nationalist at a baseball game.

I agree with this and do this.  The pledge really bothers me though.  I have given some thought to running for  a local office, but one thing that bothers me about it is the idea that if I were to win, I would have to go along with something I am opposed to or make a scene on my first day.  The Pledge is said at the beginning of each meeting of school board and city council.  Maybe show up late for every meeting.  They can keep the prayer at the beginning, but the pledge, ughh.

The Polling Pit / Re: How did you find out about Free Talk Live?
« on: September 12, 2008, 03:14:36 PM »
I had seen it mentioned around on the web for a while, but I didn't bother downloading shows until after I downloaded and listened to the Ron Paul interview.  I think that came from RonPaulAudio.com.  I eventually ended up on your site some how and downloaded some shows since they were easy to download.  If I had to dig for them or listen in a web based player that streamed them, I wouldn't have bothered.  It was the ability to easily save them to play on my portable mp3 player that made me more likely to download them.

I'm not surprised Asian is winning. It is generally assumed to be east Asian.  But "Asian" is overly ambiguous if you think about it.  It includes Israel, Malaysia, Korea, Siberia and so many other different groups of people.

General / Setting up a news website
« on: August 29, 2008, 01:03:55 AM »
Do any of you have any ideas on resources to set up a news website.  I have a domain purchased that I want to use for a local news site.  I want to accept article submissions and hopefully update at least once a week starting out with a collection of articles at each update.  Is there some readily available software to run this?

I would like to avoid updating everything in html code each time.  I am thinking I would like to put submissions in a queue that would post at a set time with some regularity.

Any direction to resources or those who would have knowledge in doing this would be helpful.

I may just set up a Google Aps page to start.

too much country music for me.
Agreed.

I'm not going for the music, or for the speakers, or for the "campaign training", or for the Ron.
I'm going to talk to the other people who are pissed off enough to show up, and let them know the revolution is already well underway in NH. They can beat their heads against the brick wall in their own state, or come join the one place where we have a shot at cracking this egg open...

NH had their shot and blew it on McCain. No second chances.

The point isn't to win an election.

General / FTL press credentialls in Minneapolis / St. Paul
« on: August 28, 2008, 07:55:08 AM »
I remember hearing on the show that someone made some downloadable FTL press credentials.  Where are these, and would it be ok if I and anyone else use them in Minneapolis / St. Paul near the Rethuglican convention or the Ron Paul rally?  It could help to get interviews and take pictures.  Maybe the cops will be a tad less likely to arrest one with an id hanging from his neck.  I would also like to possibly ask some questions of people at the Ron Paul rally.  I should make another thread for question ideas.

Why bother?

Support, cooperation, fun...

I see it as a good opportunity to have fun meeting people.  Some (such as Ian) have asked what it is going to do.  I'm not totally sure, but the networking  seems to be worth a lot.  I hope the FSP makes a noticeable presence there.

I also hope it annoys the GOP folks having their convention.
