If things were the way they should be, concerning funding to other countries, I'd probably donate a few bucks to Israel myself. Same goes for every other country on the planet. If Iran is making serious legitimate threats towards Israel, they should do everything they can to stop it.This is a fair assessment. I actually agree with it. The US should cease foreign aid to all countries. Right now the US government actually gives way more money to Islamo-fascist countries than to Israel, and that is just fucked up. Back when Israel was formed, it was funded primarily by American Jewish donors, who gave their money voluntarily in order to help see a free, healthy economy blossom in the Middle East. Israeli-American organizations still do a lot to help improve the geo-political region known as Israel. Foreign aid isn't necessary, but in my opinion, if we are to eliminate foreign aid to Israel it needs to be done proportionally to foreign aid with all other countries. Ideally it should just be zero.
As far as Iran threatening the US with a nuclear strike........ pffft, whatever. They might be nuts, but they're not suicidal. They know they would cease to exist if they made the move. Thats why they never will.

Shutting down the straight would be preventing commerce to a bunch of nations that you have clearly illustrated in your picture.
The link I posted last was to an article that pointed out that Iran has been threatening genocide and nuclear holocaust on their official government websites. Their government officials have been giving speeches about this and their government news services promote racism and anti-Jewish propaganda to everyone, even including children's shows, for a long time.
Threatening initiation of force is a violation of the NAP. Destroying their weapons and weapons research facilities is reciprocation of force or threats of force and is perfectly justified.
You're just escalating force - when you're threatened (each side) day in day out, of course this happens. It takes courage to change the dialogue.
This pacifist argument just doesn't work for me. At all.

Obviously, the evil Israeli Jews are just taunting Iran and baiting them into genocidal nuclear attacks by promoting women's rights and gay rights in the Middle East. Those Jews clearly need a nuclear facecheck by Iran for allowing people of all races, creeds, and religions to live there and represent themselves politically.

And how is it more "arbitrary" to root for a local team than to buy food from a local seller? I've heard many people on FTL talk about "supporting the local community." If it makes people happy to buy stuff from local businesses, so what? If makes people happy to root for the local team, so what?

Mainly, I see myself doing the majority of my riding on trips of over 3 hours, so thats kinda why I was looking at that 1200 Harley. Might be right though about getting a bit of a smaller bike, since I haven't had one in a long time. I'm definitely liking the KTM's alot.
I'll keep you guys updated if I get something soon, or have any other questions. I need to look at some bike forums when I get a chance.

In CA you need a "Handgun Safety Certificate" to purchase new handguns, that takes about 10 minutes to get and isn't registered with the state. It's just a little paper card the gun store gives you after you complete the 20 question multiple choice quiz, and you don't need to keep it around after you complete your purchase. But handguns are registered with the state here... but there's no license or registration card to carry around, and you can have unregistered handguns if you acquired them before 1991.
I'd thought the same that alaric did. If you buy a gun you have to have a check, right?
In the city there's not a lot of places to go to shoot, so y ahave to drive to a range. Don't you have to have a license for your gun to have it in the car legally?

Mythbusters has many shows showing that duct tape is a survivalists friend even though I was kind of kidding.
I don't come from the school of thought to prioritises guns and ammo though. Puts a target on your back. The word is "survive" not have a shitload of government registered weapons to turn in or die in a blaze of glory as one makes a lot of racket. Guns are only handy for defense or attack, SHTF I am in hide and run and lay the fuck low mode.
My Gerber and a roll of duct tape would get me pretty far I think.

Those people answer to accrediting organizations who are supposed to verify that the degree means something (whatever it means.)+1
