The kids who might be the more anti-authority type might not even take a flier if you use that confrontational approach. I wouldnt if I were shy, because what kid wants a target on their back?
Also, I hope they realize that by getting banned from school property they cant go back now when something even more important happens. Like, say, if they were to hold a informational assembly or such.
It's funny you mention that.
My cousin is a Rabbi, and created a bunch of Jewish clubs at various high schools in the area. He visits them at lunch, hands out some food, and they talk about stuff. His outreach programs work pretty well, and he works entirely within the system.

The Experiment
Previously, we investigated the strongest possible Jell-O shot and showed that a Jell-O shot can, in fact, be lit on fire. The reader response to these investigations was overwhelming, we received hundreds of methods and recipes for producing the "best" Jell-O shot. Equipped with this reader input, a minibar’s worth of booze, a grocery cart full of Jell-O, and the spirit of scientific investigation, we embarked on a grueling series of further Jell-O shot trials, and here we present our findings.
The Flavor Challenge
Previously we focused our efforts on maximizing the alcoholic potency of the shots. But, as we discovered, the flavor suffered severely as a result. This compromises the basic utility and purpose of the Jell-O shot. Jell-O shots are supposed to get you buzzed, but they are also supposed to taste good.
In our selection of liquors and recipe combinations, we tried to stick to the basics: liquors and ingredients that were economical and easy to find or likely to be on hand. Likewise, we kept most of the formulas simple and pared a few classic cocktails down to their basic elements. In other words, the best taste with the least effort. Nevertheless, we did take on some creative challenges.
Start With the Basics
Here’s a rundown of some of the best basic Jell-O/liquor combinations that we tried. Of course, it goes without saying that you can put vodka in anything, or use a flavored vodka that matches the Jell-O (Orange and Stoli Oranj, for example). The following combos and recipes got approval from our panel of tasters. Standout favorites were cherry and amaretto, watermelon and sour apple schnapps, orange and Captain Morgan’s, and anything containing peach schnapps.

"DIY AMD AK47" will cover the construction of an AK-pattern weapon and the creation of pictographic instructions intended for distribution that detail the process. These instructions will be made available on the web and distributed in “zine” form. They are intended to cover the complete construction of the weapon from parts to operation as a challenge to the notion of a state as defined by Weber as that entity which has claimed a “monopoly on the legitimate use of violence”.
Civilian gun rights are an interesting place to explore activist interventions. Citizens have taken up arms in defense of their participation in government and as a resistance to state violence most recently and widely reported as part of the Arab Spring uprisings. One particularly compelling example from the past took place during the Soviet-Afghan war in which the Mujaheddin produced their own AK-pattern rifles. These rifles, known as "Khyber Pass AKs" enabled an armed resistance to be mobilized by civilians without military manufacturing infrastructure. The same lessons learned by the Kyber Pass gunsmiths can be distilled into an instruction set intended for any oppressed people interested in defending themselves by producing the "People's Gun".

Slightly worse in the sense that he manipulated and headfucked people into doing it rather than just offering someone cash.
Did he do it? Nope. Would it have happened if not for him? Nope.

« on: February 19, 2012, 11:10:58 AM »My Kawasaki rear tire change:Been on a V-star 1100 for a few months. Too wide for splitting lanes. A bitch to work on. Small gas tank. Awkward foot controls for big feet. The power is adequate but the clutch slips if I get on the throttle. I've read it needs stiffer clutch springs.(I'm experienced and I have the right tools.)
Changed the rear tire today.
Took 3 hours for me to get the wheel off. 30 mins for the shop to mount+balance. About 2 hours to put it all back together. By comparison, my old Suzuki GS took about an hour for the same work.
Yamaha V-star 1100. Not user friendly.
Heft bike up on center stand (sometimes a lot harder than it looks, ouch my back).
Remove right side muffler (2 bolts, a couple minutes max)
Remove rear axle bolt (about a minute)
Pop rear wheel from rear drive shaft
Pay 10 bucks for the shop to change the tire (I'm not changing tubeless street tires myself thanks very much!)
Reverse. Easy peasy.
