picking one? song of ice and fire for the depth of story and character development, but it is all on the same level as: WoT, LoTR, Harry Potter, Shannara, The Dark Tower, the Dune books up to God Emperor (the timeline on those is not that huge), and the dragonlance books.

the new issue of the magazine of fantasy and science fiction
and i think that i did not finish the road by cormac mccarthy. i need to find it (still in boxes from move) and see if i finished it. about 95% sure i did not.
