I would say they were Anarchist. But that's not on the list.

The general and majority beliefs of the people who signed the declaration of independance(for America), if you want to be spefic. geeze.

Well, I was asking because most people consider those who wrote and signed the US Constitution our forefathers.

Which forefathers?

There were the revolutionaries who wrote the Declaration of Independence and freed this country.

And there were the statist bureaucrats who enslaved this country with the Constitution.

Both groups consisted almost entirely out of different people.

I don't think that a violent revolution is required but definitely some kind of revolution is necessary.

Also, it was very odd to see that most of the options in the list mentioned "working within the system". I think just one "working within the system" option would be more than enough.

Mine wasn't on the list. I think I will do the following things:

1. After giving time to myself and my family I will give time to activism (attending protests, donating money/time/resources to freedom related causes).
2. I will try to limit my interaction with the government as much as possible but I will pay property taxes, have a drivers license, etc. Until enough people around me stop doing those things and then I will also stop.
3. In case of SHTF (economy crashes, government crashes, etc) I will go into survival mode and only interact with people I know and warn off/shoot anyone trespassing on my property that I don't know.

I personally don't think aligning yourself with any political party or working "within the system" will every achieve anything useful. Give me one example in history where a major change occured in government because people decided to change it by working within the system and that this change lasted at least a decade or two without falling back to opression.

The Polling Pit / Re: The 6 types of Libertarians, which are you?

I basically just get annoyed at figuring out what category I'm in.
What can I say?
I have OCD or something.

Heh, I think there are basically two categories. You can either be an anarchist or a statist. Anything inbetween is indecisive.

Well, if you can manage to sneak in early... on the other hand, everyone else is going to have the same idea and she'll get raped to death.  Really you need some sort of bunker to hide her in...

You're having too much fun with this...  :)

you missed the point - no one "volunteers" their wages because all land is legally claimed although not all occupied...there is no choice in the matter.

Most of the land is claimed by government. Get rid of government and we will have plenty of land to go around, there is enough land in the US for all of us to have our 100 acre lots.

Such an Amendment won't pass unless you put the politicians feet to the fire. Actually the goal of the whole process of taking Sueters land is not to take his land in the long run but to get the amendment passed and the quickest way to get the amendment passed is to cause some problems for the politicians which would be alleviated by passing the amendment.

Hmmmmmm, that is a good point, but is targeting Souter going to achieve that? Why not target the members of the State Legislature or the Governor? Seems they have much more influence in the State level politics than a Federal Supreme Court Justice does. Targeting Souter seems like pointless retribution; while it feels good, I'm not sure targeting him is going to achieve the desired goals. Or do you think the progression would go:

  * Take Souter's home
  * The folks of NH glare at their State legislature and lick their lips when looking at their homes
  * State level politicians shit bricks knowing they are next
  * State level constitutional amendment

I'm an open minded guy so I'm interested in your thoughts.

Not really my thoughts, I'm just telling you what I've read many times from many different peoples on other forums.

Also, I don't think it matters who the politician is, they all stick together when it comes to defending themselves from the big the big enemy (the people). If one of them is under attack they know they can easily be next. Also they don't want to set too many precedents where outraged citizens got what they wanted so they will pass any laws necessary to get control back. In this case passing the law against eminent domain will also benefit the enemy (the people). Win-win situation (except for companies that were looking to use eminent domain to their advantage).

you mean like a prisoner having a choice of which cell to occupy is freedom?

I'm sorry but that's a moronic analogy. Living on your own land is not prison, choosing to have someone else to provide you with shelter and upkeep of the shelter/land is also not prison, it's a luxury.

The excluded have no right to my land
the excluders have no right to my wages.

I don't want your wages. You CHOSE to give them to me instead of buying/homesteading land.

the concept of a lien asserts an OBLIGATION. What obligation has eukreign agreed to within his scenerio?
a persons exclusive use of a particular location via a title IMPOSES a legal and monetary OBLIGATION on those being excluded violating their absolute rights to labor and thus to self-ownership.

The excluded have no right to my land. They also have a choice, they can buy/homestead land and then not be excluded. Instead you want to rob other people to pay for those too lazy to buy their own property. Take your socialism and shove it up your ass buddy.

What loan does eukreign pay in his scenerio of being self-sufficient?
the socially created economic rent is then made equally available to all members of a community in the form of a non-interest bearing "loan" that does not have to be repaid.

A loan that doesn't have to be repaid... Wow! I need to get one of those!

Georgism is slavery plain and simple.

Lets say I purchased a plot of land and started to grow my own food on it becoming totally self sufficient. I no longer need to hold a job so I quit my job and enjoy my land. BenTuckers group of thugs come marching over to me demanding that I go back to work so that I can pay the property taxes. If I do not get a job to pay the tax I lose my land. So I have to work in order to live because I cannot live without land. Slavery.
