General / Re: Bitcoin

I just had a conversation with someone about any/all encryption in general.  The basic point was this; don't believe that anything is private, or secure.  US military, and therefore likely other intel agencies, have the ability to crack anything, and "in not much time", too.

And why should anyone believe this?

General / Re: Android app question
« on: February 12, 2011, 05:32:09 PM »
Apps can be removed from one phone and installed to another via a computer which has the Android Developer Kit installed. Though this does require some familiarity with the kit and isn't something I'd be able to easily explain in a forum post. (Maybe someone else can, but I have a lot going on right now.)

General / Re: $1.50 a gallon gasoline
« on: February 02, 2011, 10:00:44 PM »
The only way I can see that this would lead to $1.50 per gallon fuel is if it weren't taxed. This also assumes that one gallon of each is comparable, which probably isn't the case.

Anyway, like everyone else they're making their hydrogen from natural gas (methane). While it isn't currently in as short supply worldwide as oil, what do you think will happen if any significant number of people switch their cars to it?

So, the final solution is probably going to be urine-powered cars...

General / Re: 9.4% unemployment
« on: January 07, 2011, 08:46:20 PM »
The "unemployment rate" "dropped" because it does not count the number of people who gave up looking for work, which actually increased. And they're trying to spin this to say that the "recovery" is progressing along? HAHAHAHAAHAH!

This guy got his Nobel Prize the same way Barack Obama did.

Is this Something Russian People Actually feel Motivated to do?

Did anyone in this thread visit the site? I did. Looks almost like a Russian version of Copwatch.

I wish the site wasnt so backwards. I gave up before I got to a real video.

It's certainly not very easy to navigate and probably impossible to search for things. Though those things could be fixed, I think.

So the masters are chosen from among the slaves by lot? Yeah, that's going to work.

General / Re: Wes Bertrand Deconstructs Mark and Ian on Voting
« on: October 06, 2010, 09:54:30 PM »
Participating in the poll, even to vote against the murder, makes you a party to the murder should it occur and dialogically estops you from physically defending the intended victim from harm.

This is not proved, and is in fact the central point of disagreement.

Now prove it.

I would pay $25 for a 50-round box of ammo to kill 50 spammers. Oh, wait....

You'd have to ask the advertisers. Apparently they're getting value out of their ads.
