...and you never know what instructions his "god" might whisper into his ear.

God may be whispering in his ear as well, but I'm more worried about what the real rulers of this country are whispering into his ear.

I put the toilet paper on under-handed and one of my roommates immediately flipped it.

The Polling Pit / Re: How do we resist tyranny?
« on: August 23, 2007, 10:05:07 AM »
Underneath those six there is another listing for tyranny in dictionary.com as follows.

Quote
tyranny
noun
1.    a form of government in which the ruler is an absolute dictator (not restricted by a constitution or laws or opposition etc.)
2.    dominance through threat of punishment and violence [syn: absolutism]

But back to the subject at hand, the first and most important step to resisting tyranny is recognizing it for what it is when it's happening so you can nip it in the bud. That's where promoting the notion of inherent rights comes into it. Rights must be universally and consistently respected in order to avoid tyranny. That's why it's important to promote a consistent morality in society. The moment you start making exceptions, the moment you create an elite caste of people who are allowed to violate rights, you plant the seed of corruption.

I am surprised no one has suggested the use of those pre-moistened wipes like people use on babies. That seems to be the way to go.

I keep those on hand and use as needed. They are not meant to replace toilet paper. Anal hygiene is very important for gay guys. My ass is probably cleaner than most of your mouths, at least Ed and Bonerjoe's mouths. Look at the language they use here. You guys should wash your mouths out with moist anal wipes!

If some thug got her hands on some really nasty technology that allowed her to take over the world, she would be a tyrant.

It would also be a dictatorship system of government.

Thanx- exactly my point. The word "tyranny" is broadly applicable to describe the act of controlling others through threat of force.

Second, tyranny is defined as a governmental action.

I have trouble with that notion simply because "government" is just a redefinition of gangs of thugs. If some thug got her hands on some really nasty technology that allowed her to take over the world, she would be a tyrant.

You ignorant bastards. If you roll over then any dangling of paper will be further from the wall than if you were rolling under, intruding into your valuable toilet-sitting, magazine-reading space.

That's pretty much the kind of heated reaction I got once when I suggested "over". It traumatized me so much that I'm not now an "under" guy.

EDIT: Fixed a typo that completely altered the intention of my statement

Shaving 'em makes 'em more sensitive and in a good way. I have a mild and common disorder that causes me excruciating pain if their sucked tho. Playing gently is fine.

I like chiseled masculine features and facial stubble. That's probably my preference but they don't seem to be into me as much as the really young-looking twinky boy types and they're appealing in their own way. I have flexible tastes. There are plenty of guys in the 20-30 range that have that look so no point in stressing over jail bait.

Black market immortality for me, thanks. So what if I grow an extra ear/testicle from a bad batch? Better than being an eternal bitch.

Agreed. Besides... you might get super powers.
