The new in-house studio for Flaming Freedom. Still messy. Not quite done with touch-up painting. Setup just short of complete but we did sound tests and they weren't bad.

To expound upon my brief call at the end of FTL last night...
This movie was fear-mongering, pro-government propaganda, full of police state imagery that is de-emphasized and played down in a non-threatening manner. People are issued bar code bracelets after getting vaccinated that are scanned by military personnel before they can enter public places. The one guy who suggests that there might be unknown potential consequences to a rapidly approved government-issued vaccine and conflicts of interest in its production is ultimately proven to be a liar who's just bilking people of money with his own fear-mongering. He's obviously an Alex Jones spoof. Meanwhile, what little bit of drama there is is simply the result of people panicking and failing to be obedient to government orders for quarantining entire cities and shit.
But far worse than any of that about this movie is that it was
FUCKING BORING!
You keep waiting for something interesting to happen and it never does. The moral of this story seems to be "Don't panic as the police state explodes around you. Stay calm and compliant until the authorities get the crisis under control." and that's exactly how it plays out.

The Show / Dale's Last Night on FTL

I've found dual-residency between Manchester and Keene to just be too cumbersome. Once my own studio's complete, I'll be doing PURS in Manch. In the meantime, I'll just be car-pooling down for a day trip on Sunday with Neal to do our show and no longer staying the entire weekend every weekend.
That means tonight's my last night as a regular on FTL. Possibility I might be on occasionally but not on a weekly basis anymore, so if you wanna argue with me about something, call in tonight.

Inb4 TL;DR. Yes, I know it's long, but if you compare it to mass amount of disinformation that you've been bombarded with over the years, that it dispels, it's well worth it. But if you're really impatient, just watch the movie Fat Head, available on Hulu and Netflix instant. It summarizes some of this stuph in amusing cartoons and shit.

Obviously I need to adjust the video so there aren't black bars on the sides or top and bottom. That part should be trivial. Meanwhile, anyone familiar with Premiere who can tell me how to cause the images to be slowly zooming in or out so there is constant movement on the screen?

You can actually watch the latest episode of Prometheus Unchained in which Derrick and I, and eventually Neal, were shirtless (Derrick's idea). I don't know how long this video will remain available though. I'm not sure why a little bit of the beginning of the show seems to be missing.

General / My New Conspiracy Theory

Is Netflix purposely discouraging subscriptions to their mailed DVDs in favor of streaming-only subscriptions? Right after waiting the longest I've ever waited for a DVD to finally arrive- about a week later than it was scheduled, I got an email notifying me of the new plan to separate the two subscriptions, streaming and DVDs by mail. They're each now almost as expensive as it used to be to have both. It's $10 now to have both. It will be $8 each soon.
Discuss.
