I think you should tell the teacher's boss what you have observed. Maybe they could put surveillance in his classroom to get evidence of what he is up to.

What's wrong with violent video games again?  I think I got my first violent video game at age 12, it was Wolfenstein 3D for 3DO.  Great game, and you got to kill Nazi Zombies.

I don't think anything is wrong with violent video games per se. I am trying to act and think more peacefully so I am trying to lessen the amount of violent themed entertainment and sports that I watch.

Since I wanted to buy my kids some new video games I thought it would be a good idea to give them some games that aren't as violent to play. They can play whatever games they like, I just want to give them an alternative.

I didn't mean to say Tower Defense games were violent. I was just saying I like to play them.

I was trying to say that my teenage son and almost teenage daughter like to play first person shooters like Halo and I wanted to try to find them some less violent alternatives. I don't tell them what games they can or can not play I just wanted to give them some less violent options. Especially my son who really likes the violent games like Gears or War.

I mostly play solitaire and Tower Defense flash games but recently I wanted to give my kids some less violent video game alternatives so for the PS3 I got them Flowers, Critter Crunch, and Little Big Planet.
Flowers and Critter Crunch you can buy online and then download. Flowers is a very cool game where you are a flower petal and you fly around using the PS3 motion detector and transform kinda dead areas into green, flowery areas. It is fun and different.
Critter crunch is an amusing, fast paced puzzle game and it's only $6 to download.
Little Big Planet is a game where the players can design their own puppet person and then run and jump around and get points, bonuses, and new puppet clothes. You can also create your own maps. My kids like it and I think they will play it for a while.

I have heard that the area around Houston, TX is fairly cheap. My brother moved there a few years ago. After seeing how much property and big house you can get for the money my parents and my sister and her family moved there too. I have never been there but they tell me it's nice.

I listen to every episode via podcast on iTunes. I never miss a show, but I never listen live either. I listen on my commute and catch up on the weekend while I am on the computer if I fall behind on shows.

When my wife and I bought a new house about 10 years ago I wanted to sell the old house, but my wife wanted to keep it as an investment. She decided to handle all the details so I went along with it. She decided to rent to a friend of a friend without doing any kind of credit or background check.

About 3-4 years in she gets a call saying our house is in the news. The husband living there was some kind of security guard or something and he didn't like the neighbors dog so he shot it. He tried to run from the cops so they had him on the news from a helicopter. Somehow, I guess cause he knew some cops or something, he didn't have to go to jail.

The whole thing got me thinking that I didn't want them in my house. When I asked my wife about it she said they hadn't been paying the rent. She had tried to take them to court, but she didn't know the process so she dropped it. I asked her how much they owed us and she told me $7500. It had been going on for about a year. She didn't want to tell me about it because it had been her idea.

I went over to the house and they had a big screen TV and the wife, who didn't work, had just got her hair done. I told them they had to get out. They said OK and asked me to give them a good reference so they could move into an apartment. I said no problem as long as you get out!

After they left the house we took them to court and they tried to say my wife had told them they didn't have to pay rent, but our lawyer showed the judge my wife's records and a copy of the lease and we were awarded the $7500. They didn't have the money so the court garnished his wages. We got one check for about $250 and he quit his job and skipped town and we never got another cent.

To find new people to rent to we went through an agency who advertised the house and qualified the renters. The current renters they always pay on time and when something breaks we have a local handyman on retainer. They call him, he fixes the problem and sends us a bill. Everyone is happy now.

Then end. (I hope)
