General / Re: Kent Snyder's Ghost is Swift-boating Ron Paul

I don't think we have all the facts here. I would have hated to miss the opportunity for handling this in a libertarian way - in this case through a Mutual Aid organization. Surely, the bill has been settled by now. What are the details?

General / Kent Snyder's Ghost is Swift-boating Ron Paul
« on: September 15, 2011, 12:33:38 PM »
What ever happened to the alleged $400,000 in medical expenses left by the deceased 2008 campaign manager for Ron Paul?
It has been interesting following this story - it surfaced because of the recent debate fumbling of a health insurance question by Dr. Paul. Since then the two stories (the debate question and the Snyder story) seem to have been merging for the rabid anti-Paul crowd. Here's an example of the hay being made: http://thinkprogress.org/health/2011/09/14/318633/ron-paul-campaign-manage-died-uninsured/
Here's how Ron Paul flubbed the debate question and how he should have answered:
http://bleedingheartlibertarians.com/2011/09/the-libertarian-three-step-program/
My take:
Without state intervention driving up cost by limiting competition and access to the marketplace his bills wouldn't have been as high in the first place. If he had had health coverage his insurance company would have negotiated the inflated bills down to size. Hospitals will do this with uninsured individuals too.
He died. Perhaps his family should ask for their money back?
I'm interested to know the full story. Is Snyder's family still in need? Did the bill get paid and by who? We need more information.

I disagree. There's much more to be said than just the limited strawman representation of truthers we hear most places.
If they really wanted an intelligent discussion of NON-speculative aspects of the 9/11 Cover-Up I could suggest a few guests. Jon Gold is my favorite 9/11 Justice advocate.

General / Driving through New Hampshire recently...

Driving through New Hampshire recently I noted that they have state run liquor stores. Is that the only way to buy liquor in NH?

I agree with Sam. Prison rape isn't funny.
