theory 1: self driving car boom happens and DWI charges along with most if not all traffic violations are eliminated and soon become unenforced from declining revenue and advanced safety technology
theory 2: the self driving car boom is destroyed with regulations to keep the current status qua
theory 3: regulations and inspections along with increased penalty for fix it tickets increase costs or at least doesn't remove the flow of cash to the state
theory 4: the state uses the new tec in your car to see, hear and monitor your movements. anti-theft tec is used to lock you in your car and auto drive you to the nearest black site for questioning about why you were listening to FTL in your car.

I work 48 - 72 hours a week depending on the needs of the week at my job and i can tell you i don't have a lot of extra spending money, but when I do buy something I buy online because its generally cheaper for a number of reasons. Id say the biggest reasons are the number of people selling and none of the costs involved in running a brick and mortar business.
I bought some electronics online for half the price of its listed price at bestbuy and doing a quick search i have found better alternatives for what i want for the same price or cheaper. online is the new way to buy (at least if its not shoes or food) but i'm sure time will solve the problem.
