The obvious speech would be one given about what are you going to do with your life with a college diploma and hitting life and work head on with it. Will you teach, go into the job market, or into the government/military? Will it be about money or love, making money or doing what you love to do like teaching (for instance)? Would you become a CEO or CPO? Would you set aside your college for technical training and learn to work on and maintain Priuses? What are your goals? I think this will get the others thinking.

Why are prices going up? I mean, more so than usual?

Commodities (raw materials) have been on the rise in relation to the dollar, which is falling in value. So it takes more dollars to buy the same amount of something, whether it's gold, crude oil, wheat, sugar, etc. Higher prices are just starting to trickle down to the consumer level.

OK, so prices are going up more than the 2% to 5% per year. How much, percentage wise, will they increase? Damn Obama Care made my insurance go up from $22.78 per week to $70.47 a week for the same coverage.

My son caught a rather large one in the shop and put her in a Utz's pretzel bottle. Then he caught another and then there were two in there. The next day, there was only one, the other one became last night's dinner. He shipped off to the Army and I keep her alive with crickets and Carolina bird grasshoppers. Interesting arachnids. Living on the farm, you have to always be aware of your surroundings and watch for black widows, timber rattlers, water moccasins and copperheads. Oh yeah, and the occasional python that some one lets loose when they get too big.

Welcome back BRL, Kinda wondered where ya been. Sorry about having to sell your weapons, that really sucks. My brother in law in Fort Pierce was looking for someone to help with his bail bonds business, if you be interested in something like that. It pays well, but sometimes there's travel involved. He's trying to get his grandson to take over, but I don't know how thats working out. Anyway welcome back.

When parents of someone in the military proudly say "yeah, hes/shes over there fighting for our freedom", while they sit back in their Lazy Boy recliner passively accepting their freedoms getting swiped from under their noses right here at home and doing nothing at all about it.

"Yeah, were so proud of little Johnny over there servin and a protectin our freedoms.....................Wait, whats this BS on the news?..................Obama is gonna make us all pay for everyones health care????????? Well dammit, I got a right mind to ..................OH LOOK, DANCING WITH THE STARS IS ON!!!"


I think I hate that more than just about anything else I can think of........................even more than corn.

I hate that no one said anything about Obama paying off the people who got him elected by laundering 8 trillion dollars through Goldman Sachs. If you are an American, that WAS your money.
Plus, my son is going into the military as an officer and I'm afraid he might get fragged for my standing up to middle eastern poeple that have severely divided this country 6 ways to sundown. I really, really HATE that!!!!!
And I hate this post window that keeps jumping up and down as I post!
