Well, now that this is plenty derailed...
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed this:

General / Facebook is funny, sometimes.

If it's TL:DR for you, the last 5 comments sum it all up most hilariously.

This is the same Rick Perry who wants the US military to invade and occupy Mexico.

The same psycho.

and the same guy who pretended to be a Tea Partier (Texas secession) and then endorsed the same policies any halfway libertarian person would oppose...

General / Re: What Video Games Are You Currently playing?

Have been playing Bioshock 1 & 2 on playstation. Bioshock may be an older game, but it is really fun. Great graphics, awesome art design, good sound, and intriguing gameplay. Bioshock 2 added duel weapons (at the same time). I think its called "duel wield."

Looking forward to Rage, Skyrim, and Battlefield 3. All pre-ordered on Amazon.

I liked Bioshock, but the whole Ayn Rand rebuttal message just slowly killed any enjoyment I had playing it.

I was drinking last night and thought it might be a good idea to check out the Ames (sp?) straw poll results on Fox News (see the drinking part...). I tuned in just as they announced that Michele Bachmann had won. Ron Paul finished just behind her (4700 to 4550 votes or summat) and the stadium was full of Paul signs and the Fox audio mix was filled with "Ron Paul, Ron Paul, Ron Paul."  The reason I say all of this:
1) When asked about Ron Paul's surprising finish, the head of the Iowa Republican party started talking about Rick Perry.
2) During the analysis afterwards with Paul signs and sounds filling the TV, the commentators were predominantly discussing Rick Perry's 5th place finish.
3) They actually cut to a Rick Perry speech soon afterward, completely forgetting about everyone else.

What the fuck has Rick Perry done to be so loved by Fox News?

The Show / Re: Right on, Ian.

No, I got your point - it has to be presented palatably for normal people. I don't think there's a better way to do that than to say the problem is with the system rather than the people in it.
He then goes on to say that being able to withhold payment would go a long way toward accountability.

Well, I think this addresses the system as the problem...

General / Re: Ian gets 1 year in jail, all but 90 days suspended.

"Ian didn't do anything"
a minute or so later:
"Well, he stood in front a police car for a few seconds..."
not long after that:
"Ok, he kinda upped the ante and turned around and sat on the hood"
and then:
"Well, they didn't do anything to Meg cuz she's pretty. Of course they charge the big mouth, but not the pretty girl!"

Just the first few minutes of listening to tonight's show...

Right or wrong, Ian poked the bear...

Bah, you're missing the point entirely.

Yeah...a lot of those aren't Alex Jones and a lot of them are "I feel it in my bones so it might happen" predictions.
