Sales taxes increased in 11 states in 2014.
In New Hampshire, the general sales tax rate is still the same - NOTHING!

A recent Canadian article mentions Freedom in the 50 States, the FSP and libertarianism.

The Toronto Sun just gave an international shout out to the Free State Project! The article explains how Ontario and California are failed states and contrasts them with New Hampshire as the state others should emulate. It's nice to see that some in the media get that ‪#‎LiveFreeorDie‬ policies work.

There are less than 24 hours to get the early bird special rate. Please register right now. The FSP wants to you register early at the discount rate, it helps with planning.

I can't wait to camp out with all the white guys!

If that's your goal, maybe sure to plan ahead. Otherwise, you might be disappointed ;)

"I am really impressed with the Free State Project because you're not just talking about it, you're doing it."
— Thomas Drake

Have you ever wondered what life would be like without sales taxes? What would you do? Where would you go?

I'm on a panel. I'm sure FTL will want to interview me about it because I'm so interesting and beloved.
I didn't see your show on the schedule though :(

The local newspaper just came out with it's 2nd article on the event. Here is around 1/2 of the article.

How many lectures can fit into 100 minutes? Sixteen, says Liberty Forum
By DAVID BROOKS
Staff Writer

Liberty Forum, the annual meeting of the Free State Project. Three days of panels and talks; Thursday’s sessions are all free.

When: Thursday afternoon and all day Friday and Saturday.
Where: Crown Plaza Hotel, 2 Somerset Parkway, Nashua.
For more information: http://nhlibertyforum.com.

NASHUA – If you’re going to hold the interest of the Twitter-enabled world, where 140 characters is a conversation, you can’t dawdle.

Hence the idea of Ignite Talks, a format that limits speakers to five minutes total and exactly 20 presentation slides, each of which stays visible for 15 seconds and then disappears. Zip, bang – next!

The format was started in 2006 amid the tech crowd in Seattle as a speedier version of popular TED talks, which were themselves conceived as quick-hit variations on the traditional lecture format. On Thursday, it will come to Nashua as part of Liberty Forum, the annual gathering organized by the Free State Project.

No fewer than 16 Ignite talks are scheduled between 8 and 9:40 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Nashua. They’ll touch on topics from “winter safety” to “how to hitchhike in New Hampshire” to something called “pornology,” which is “what happens when porn and tech hook up,” as well as several discourses about economics and public policy from a libertarian perspective.

“You can come get a bite-sized sample,” is how Free State Project president Carla Gericke puts it.

The entire barrage is free, as are the more traditionally sized talks during the day. This is the Free State Project’s attempt to spread the word about the movement.

Other free events on Thursday include an introduction to the crypto-currency bitcoin at 1:30 p.m., a discussion about the death penalty at 4 p.m., and lessons in “counter-surveillance” for those with “NSA spying concerns” at 6:30 p.m.

Opinions on this? I noticed that Jason Sorens is both the founder of the Free State Project and the creator of Freedom in the 50 States. In fact, it's obvious that this idea partly came out of the FSP's Which State Vote when people were comparing the 10 states that were being looked at for the vote.

Anyway, Dr. Sorens recently moved from New York to New Hampshire as part of the FSP. He spoke about both projects at a recent LP of NY state convention but the audio isn't great so it's not worth sharing.

Additional, on Thursday, Off the Air Live will be live in the same studio starting at 10pm

Furthermore, here's Rep Amash's take on it and for those that are clueless, he's Ron's pitbull from MI:
They still haven't banned pitbulls in MI? Give it time.
