A few pics (mostly setting up) from my recent book signing at the LIVERPOOL TATTOO CONVENTION:

To put it simply, minarchism is a step in the right direction.

I think after years of nanny statism, many people would panic if they woke up, tomorrow, to anarchy.

Minarchism could be like stabilisers on a bike, or a crutch, for these people.

There's no way this can be for real...

It's very much for real in the socialist lefty charity I work for.

We were chatting about the recent 'expenses scandal' in the UK today and I happened to srop into the conversation how I hoped they would all keep resigning until none were left - cure open-mouthed gasps of horror.

'Who would run the country?!' they cried.

'We would. You and I and everyone else', I suggested.

'Oh no, that's just silly', came the reply.

I would have thought he was more of a socialist type - no?

"They Live".  1988 Movie by the great John Carpenter.

Good call! And a great movie, too.

WATCHMEN, to a certain extent, could be seen as Libertarian-esque...

Have we mentioned JERICHO yet?

Hell, STAR WARS does a fine job of throwing a pissy light on Big Government.

Is it much like Brian Keene's The Rising, Dead City and Dead Sea?

I'll probably check it out.

Thanks!

I've only read THE RISING - and it's a good, pulpy read.

I'm not sure that DDG would be similar to Keene's work, but it's pretty pulpy.

You've pushed it very well. I plan on buying this.

Thanks a lot! I look forward to hearing what you think of it :)

DROP DEAD GORGEOUS has been put forward as one of the finalists for the FREEDOM BOOK CLUB's 'Summer Reading Programme'.

If you think it would be SUPER COOL if a tattoo-flavoured, anarchist, horror book was to win the poll, please take a second to visit the following link to vote for DDG - your e-mail is NOT required, nor are any personal details:

Thanks in advance!

Listen to my first AUDIO interview from the LIBERTY CONSPIRACY podcast radio show, hosted by none other than FTL co-host, Gardner Goldsmith.

... then choose the relevant podcast from the index and play it from the site. Alternatively, you can subscribe to the LIBERTY CONSPIRACY pocast for FREE via i-tunes.

Thanks to Gard for such an enjoyable chat! :D

This machine, this machine. This machine... THIS MACHINE,
KILLS FUCKING FASCISTS !
Dead... ahhh... DIE !

'This Machine Kills Fascists' is a famous Woody Guthrie quote. Guthrie, to my knowledge, was fairly socialist/ communist - Billy Bragg (lefty esquire) somewhat aspires to be Guthrie.

London-based popular culture magazine, LIBERATION FREQUENCY, have posted an interview with Dave Moody (author of HATER).

They posted a short but very sweet review of DDG at the end of Dave's interview, alongside a review of Max Brooks' WORLD WAR Z:

Drop Dead Gorgeous
Wayne Simmons

Reads more like a gritty drama than a zombie book until that is the author reveals his masterful hand and tears your still beating heart from your chest. Do not miss! 4/5

Check out both Dave's interview, and the DDG review at:

Cool, man. I appreciate that - let me know if you enjoy it, when you get around to reading it :)

Don't suppose I can get a free copy for saying I've talked to you over the internet?  :P

I'd *almost* give you a free copy for having the coolest anarchy symbol as an avatar... but not quite.

Sorry, dude. Man's gotta make a living  8)

Congrats to you Mr. HAA

I'll pick it up once I get finished with the ones I'm reading.

Thanks! I'm absolutely delighted that Borders are promoting it so much :D

Also, just to let you all know that the book is available to download via KINDLE:
