Two midgets who work as professional wrestlers found dead in a low-rent hotel room may have been drugged by female robbers, according to Mexican authorities.
Post mortems are being performed on the two wrestlers, one of whom went by the name “La Parkita” - or “Little Death” - and wore a skeleton costume in the ring. The other was known as “Espectrito Jr.”
Authorities say two women were seen leaving the men’s hotel room in Mexico City before the bodies were discovered.
Prosecutor Miguel Angel Mancera said that gangs of female robbers in the area are experienced at using drugs to knock men out and rob them, but they may have used too strong a dose.
They said the wrestlers may have succumbed to the drugs more readily because of their small stature, although larger men have also died in similar crimes.
Previously, Mexican police have arrested prostitutes who poisoned "clients" to steal their money.
In 2008, 20 members of a gang were arrested for similar crimes.

Destinie Rechelle Duvall, 37, of Willis, Texas, and her mother, Patricia Ann Hacker, 62, of Benton were charged with battery.
Bossier Parish Sherriff Deputies said the duo was taken into custody after a physical altercation with each other.
During the confrontation, Duvall knocked Hacker out of a chair, then kicked her in the head, causing her to lose consciousness. While Hacker was unconscious, Duvall defecated on Hacker’s back.
When Hacker regained consciousness, she and Duvall began to hit each other and wrestled one another to the ground. The altercation stopped momentarily, but started again when Duvall was told to leave the residence. Duvall bit Hacker on her bottom lip, causing a one-inch cut. Hacker grabbed a steel pan and struck Duvall five times.
Both were taken to LSU-Health Science Center for treatment. Hacker had a cut to her bottom lip and rib bruising. Duvall suffered a possible broken hand and bruising to both arms.
Duvall was charged with two counts of second-degree battery and two counts of simple battery. Hacker was charged with aggravated battery and simple battery.
Both women were taken to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility and booked. Their bonds are pending.

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before but had once failed an entire class.
That class had insisted that socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.
The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on socialism. All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.
After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B.
The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.
As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.
The second test average was a D! No one was happy.
When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.
The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.
All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.
Could not be any simpler than that.

NEW YORK (Reuters Life!) – Breastfed babies seem more likely to do well at high school and to go on to attend college than infants raised on a bottle, according to a new U.S. study.
Professors Joseph Sabia from the American University and Daniel Rees from the University of Colorado Denver based their research on 126 children from 59 families, comparing siblings who were breastfed as infants to others who were not.
By comparing siblings, the study was able to account for the influence of a variety of difficult-to-measure factors such as maternal intelligence and the quality of the home environment.
The study, published in the Journal of Human Capital, found that an additional month of breastfeeding was associated with an increase in high school grade point averages of 0.019 points and an increase in the probability of college attendance of 0.014.
"The results of our study suggest that the cognitive and health benefits of breastfeeding may lead to important long-run educational benefits for children," Sabia, a professor of public policy who focuses on health economics, said in a statement.
"But this is just a start. Much work remains to be done to establish a definitive causal link."
Sabia said the study, using data from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health, was the first to use sibling data in order to examine the effect of breastfeeding on high school completion and college attendance.
"By focusing on differences between siblings, we can rule out the possibility that family-level factors such as socioeconomic status are driving the relationship between having been breastfed and educational attainment," said Rees, an economics professor.

It's the kind of story that makes you wonder about the nature of fate.
Johanna Ganthaler and her husband Kurt must have been breathing more than just a sigh of relief last week. The couple had been on vacation in Brazil and they were running late. Despite their best efforts, they missed the plane that was supposed to take them back to Europe, leaving them feeling frustrated.
It was a frustration that turned to grateful amazement - the jet that took off without them was Air France Flight 447, which crashed in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, killing all 228 people onboard, including a former Guelph resident.
The Ganthalers wound up taking an alternate flight back and arrived safely. They were driving home, when their vehicle veered off the road in Austria and into an oncoming truck.
Johanna, who had managed to avoid dying in the plane crash, was killed in the collision, while her husband was seriously injured.
It's not clear what caused their vehicle to lose control.
Meanwhile, the search for the black boxes continues in the depths, with the help of a nuclear submarine equipped with sonar. Time is of the essence - the pings from those data recorders will stop next month.
Forty-one bodies have now been recovered from the crash site. Authorities hope to use DNA to identify the remains.

On Wednesday Mr Stewart admitted to sexual breach of the peace in Ayr Sheriff Court, where depute fiscal Gail Davidson described how he had been found by the hostel workers.
She said: "They knocked on the door several times and there was no reply.
"They used a master key to unlock the door and they then observed the accused wearing only a white T-shirt, naked from the waist down.
"The accused was holding the bike and moving his hips back and forth as if to simulate sex." A man has been placed on the sex offenders’ register after being caught trying to have sex with a bicycle.

The mainstream peace and justice movement is beginning to see that countering military recruitment deserves a higher priority and should be viewed in strategic, rather than tactical terms. Resisting the unprecedented and relentless militarization of American youth transcends the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Countering military recruitment confronts an ugly mix of a distinctively American brand of institutionalized violence, racism, militarism, nationalism, classism, and sexism. It gets to the root of the problem.
Confronting the work of military recruiters, particularly in the nation’s public schools will provide a catalyst for activists to shift gears from the traditional antiwar tactics of vigils, protests, sit-ins, and CD actions to the long-term strategy of opposing the militarization of youth. The two are not necessarily mutually exclusive. One however, treats symptoms; the other addresses causes.
Simply put, the strategy of the counter-recruiting movement is to put the imperial armed forces of the United States into a kind of vice that squeezes new recruits from the ranks. One end of the vice is the near universal rejection of the return of the military draft. Remember how the House voted 402-2 against reinstating the daft back in October of 2004? Bringing back the draft is unthinkable. Conscription would result in demonstrations of millions that would ultimately end the war and result in a political revolution. The crushing steel on the opposite side of the vice is the counter-recruitment movement, aided by an American public that increasingly recognizes illegal and immoral wars.
Counter recruitment activists are putting on the squeeze. They’re doing it by learning about high school policies that favor military recruiters and they’re organizing their communities to change it. They’re providing youth with training, employment and educational alternatives to military service. They’re engaged with community leaders and the press in promoting a greater awareness of encroaching militarism. And they’re being successful across the country.
