I'll get the ball a rollin'

Slap a pair of tits on him and everyone on this BBS would be fighting for the chance to plow him.

Hey, tits aren't a prerequisite for everyone!

Isn't that what drugs are for? To experience various mental defects on a short term basis for entertainment purposes?

Yes, I recommend drugs.

Hmm ... well, I'll be going to a rave next Saturday that goes until 7AM (and I'll probably be there pretty much until then). It promises to be my most intense partying to date in a few ways. We'll see how I'm feeling after that.

I wouldn't really want my post read on the air. I don't think it was appropriate for them to read your email on the air either. That kind of criticism should be carefully considered and acted on if applicable, but putting it out there for the whole world is somewhat divisive.

Clearly my perspective is a little different, because I do find Ian's unconventional activism both persuasive and entertaining to hear about. Perhaps it is because, being in another country, my desire to move for the FSP is a more distant and difficult to achieve dream. I could understand if someone on the ground there or with hopes to be there soon might see it differently.

Holy crap the Internet allows for some weird shit. I love it.

I hope some day I'm recorded doing something random and I end up profiting from it.

I would love to have a Mark only AMP program to NOT contribute to, to make it clear that cognitive dissonance and compromising on basic moral principles are NOT the kind of messages I want to support.

I really wish Mark would stop dismissing Ian's consistent and principled message as "crazy". It's an unusual position, held by a small minority of people, but it's no more crazy than was the first person to declare that the Earth orbited the Sun, no matter how many people held opposing beliefs. Calling Ian's ideas "insane", or calling Ian himself "insane" are both extremely unhelpful and immature ad hominem attacks that, frankly, make Mark sound unprofessional. I would think he should know better given his extensive experience than to use that kind of language in a discussion or debate.

A coworker of mine whom I turned on to Free Talk Live told me he stopped listening within several episodes because he found Mark irritating. There's just one of many, I'm sure, to weigh against those who stop supporting the show because of Ian.

That said, the show would not be the same without Mark. Ideologically, I side with Ian and Sam and Dale, but if they ran the show it would quickly get boooooring, for lack of conflict. Mark is an important part of the show and he plays a role in the continual honing of arguments for liberty. The show could never hope to get enough statist callers to do the same, because frankly, I think they know they would lose arguments against the unassailable truth that complete liberty is the only moral position. Somehow Mark comes in day after day without jumping the final hurdle into acceptance of that fact.

Mark, you're going to believe whatever you're going to believe, and if that will change it will only come with time. Until then, though, PLEASE stop with the childish name calling. Stop thinking that everyone sees you as the rational half of Free Talk Live. Perhaps a majority of people DO, but why would you want to be considered right by the majority of people? The majority have given us the political systems under which we are currently enslaved. They need to be challenged, not supported.

Does anyone think Mark would choose to read this post on the air, as he did the email criticizing Ian? If the AMP program is the relevant issue, then know that I AMP, and recently increased my AMP because of Ian and the things he says and does.

Mark, if you're reading this, please know that I do have a great deal of respect for you. Where I am in 99% agreement with Ian, I am probably in 90% agreement with you, which puts you miles ahead of the average person on the street in my books. Someday I hope to meet both of you and shake your hands.

Keep up the good work, guys, just remember that neither of you is the always-right God of libertarian philosophy. We all know that's Stefan Molyneux.

Flashbacks when I'm awake, no. That would freak me out. I used to have vivid Counterstrike dreams though, when I played that every day.

General / Re: I Got the Munchies and Ate...
« on: August 19, 2010, 01:45:52 PM »
I've learned to plan for the munchies by deciding what I want to eat before I smoke. That way I don't eat insane things that will ruin my generally healthy diet or disturb me when I think back on them the following day.

I've never gotten into dog biscuits.

As a doctor (which I'm not), I recommend compensating for poor nutritional choices made under the influence of marijuana by occasionally making poor nutritional choices under the influence of MDMA. In my experience, that results in dancing instead of eating, which must be a good approach to dieting, right?

« on: August 17, 2010, 12:50:55 PM »
Why would someone do coke for the first time when they are likely to be subjected to a drug test only days later?

I'm not one to judge, though. I'd fail a drug test for sure, though for pot, not coke. When I applied for my current job I was told that there would be "drug screening", which I was concerned I would fail. As it turns out, their idea of drug screening was just a questionnaire, my answers to which I'm sure they correctly interpreted as "I smoke pot". I got hired anyway. I don't think many companies could afford to not hire people 'cause they smoke pot in my neck of the woods.

I had a freakin' crazy evening a couple of weeks ago with two coworkers and the assistant manager of the company I work for. I wouldn't have done the same around her boss, the manager, but if she were inclined to care about my using drugs she could sure stir up shit for me. Fortunately, considering she doesn't do any drugs herself, she's pretty cool about it.

Anyway, if you did get tested, I hope you passed.

General / Re: What Is This Chick's Style???

Holy shit people, she's not fat. No wonder girls end up with eating disorders. This is coming from a guy who just got home from the gym and is eating a salad and is very comfortable with his physical fitness level.

I always wonder about guys who hang out on Internet forums and criticize the appearance of women in pictures online. I guarantee she's several times more attractive than most of the people commenting on her pics in this thread!

She still looks good to me! And I say that even if she is 15, with no concern for how creepy that may be perceived.

She looks pretty good to me. I'd have called it "goth".

I like chicks with short hair, but then I like a lot of guys too, so I guess that makes sense.

I've got kind of a thing for emo / goth / punk rock style with piercings and tattoos ... funny, perhaps, since I have neither.

You can't help what turns you on, so there's no point judging people for it.

Looks good. I don't have any tattoos (yet), but I can imagine that one's collarbone must be a particularly fun place for that.

I hate Nazis and communists.

I hate people who ride their brakes and sometimes even stop in the steep downhill merge lane onto the highway I take on my way home from work.

I hate public transit buses when I'm riding my bike ... damned things cut me off and stop in front of me everywhere, by design.

Nice find. Precor makes a lot of the industrial quality exercise equipment in the gyms I frequent. That looks like a solid, high quality unit.

Now just stick with your plan and you'll get good results.

It's a good idea to have something like video games to distract you while doing cardio. I usually watch episodes of South Park on my iPod Touch while on the elliptical trainer and stair climber at the gym.
