I'm a sports fan and I go to a lot of live events. Of course, they always play the national anthem. I always feel weird about standing for it. While they play the song I think of all the blind nationalism that en flicks people into thinking that no matter what the U.S. does they must always be proud of their country. Like many on the boards I'm not proud of what the U.S. has done both domestically and abroad. So why should I stand for it?
In a way I kind of feel like it is along the same lines as not standing for a judge.
I was wondering what you guys do and how you feel when they play the national anthem.

Personally I don't see what the big deal is. I come in this forum just for shits and giggles when I'm at work or at home with nothing to do. I read over some of the posts and if they don't make sense I don't bother to post. I've had my fair share of pointless posts but I really don't give a crap if people don't like them because they can always ignore me.This.
I do find some of the things that NH10 posts interesting, and I sometimes glance over them and move on.
In any event, seems to me like you guys are just bitching. If he brings you so much pain and frustration...don't talk to the guy and get a life.

I like it, it feels good. But even just a physical connection with another human being is so much more powerful to me. It's hard to cast it aside completely.
