General / Re: A police helicopter in the backyard
« on: October 02, 2009, 02:46:41 AM »
lol. I love the suggestions.
I might try fixing it up so they can't see inside plus putting a sign on the roof would be good "No weed here asshole". If there was a way to shorten "If you can read this you are trespassing, even if you're police" that could be another good one.
Please tell me you at least flipped them the bird?  Maybe you should install a bunch of heat lamps and such in there and see if you get raided. :)
Unfortunately I didn't, although that would be a good one if I have a camera ready. I'll flip them off and make sure I don't get on camera doing that and when they go to flip me back it might get on camera.

Oh yeh, I'm not growing anything either. If I was, it wouldn't be in the greenhouse. A greenhouse seems to be a good distraction, though ;)

How low would a helicopter have to be flying before it would be considered a trespass?

the second it interrupts your breakfast by making you get up from the table to look out the window.

probably saw the old green house and thought, "gee...what a cliche spot for someone to grow a marijuana crop...let's roll in and survey this situation"

Thats what I wondered too. At what point is it trespassing? But then, police are always above the law so it'd be safe to assume they're exempt from trespassing. I'm willing to bet everyone in the area that has a greenhouse got the same treatment as I did. I considered, for about 3 seconds, going down to the police station and just wandering around the place, checking out their cars etc until an officer came out to ask me what I am doing, to which I'd reply "Well, you guys were in my backyard, without permision, checking up on me. I thought I'd just return the favour."
Next time, and I'm sure there'll be a next time, I'll try to remember to grab a camera, or my mobile phone.
Were they coming for your guns?

Guns are mostly illegal in Australia except if you are a registered shooter. All because some fucktard went on a rampage :(.Of course the crims still have them....

Also, I'm pretty certain though I may be wrong, the guy that went on the rampage used a gun that was already illegal.

First, a bit of background - I live on a 6 acre property and theres an old greenhouse on it. So, this was yesterday morning for me. Having brekfast and I hear this noise and think "jeez that helicopter is flying low", and sure enough, down the backyard is a police helicopter hovering just above the greenhouse. A greenhouse that hasn't been used in the 14 years since we moved in.

I think Bernanke is worse.  I hear he just claimed "economic recovery is just around the corner."
lol, RIIIGHT.

Yeh pretty much all politicians and media over here are singing the same song, and they are saying its because of government regulations that we are doing so well. Whats worse is almost everyone believes them.

General / Some bloke went fishing and caught a missile.

HE thought he'd bagged a big one, but after reeling it in, police said a Florida fisherman found he really did have a live catch on his hands - an air-to-air guided missile.

Commercial fisherman Rodney Salomon never panicked, and kept long-line fishing aboard his Bold Venture boat in the Gulf of Mexico for another 10 days before returning to port.

True to fisherman form, Mr Salomon had several versions of his tale prepared for various media outlets.

"I had it strapped to the roof of my boat as we rode through lightning storms,'' he told Tampa Bay's local 10 Connects News.

"I had it secure. I keep it cool,'' he told The Associated Press, adding that he packed it with ice.

The bomb squad from a nearby military base that promptly dismantled it upon his return to shore said the heavily corroded eight-foot-long missile "could have exploded at any moment".

"I wasn't scared,'' the 37-year-old Salomon said, according to local media reports.

"Why should I be scared?''

Eglin Air Force Base later denied the missile was carrying explosives, claiming it was a "telemetry missile" used for evaluation purposes.

Mr Salomon, from Saint Petersburg, Florida, was 80km out in the Gulf from Panama City when he caught the military ordnance.

The experts said the missile was corroded by its apparent extended stay in saltwater.

Mr Salomon asked the bomb squad if he could keep the missile as a souvenir after it was made safe, but the request was denied.

Warming to the task, Mr Salomon then told local media it wasn't the first missile he and his three-man crew picked up.

Days after the find, he nabbed another, but that one "was beeping", so he decided to let it go.

Sure Rodney, but you forgot to tell us how big it was...

They should have let him keep it.

I'm confused. She is just some chick on youtube that likes to talk about makeup. What makes her more likely to become president, and aparently a scary one, than any other random youtube girl that likes to talk about their interests?

General / President Obama walks into a bar....
« on: May 26, 2009, 06:40:49 PM »
This came from tshirthell.com

President Obama walks into a bar. Everyone applauds. He sits on a stool. Everyone applauds. He orders a beer. Everyone applauds. He says "Shut the fuck up, you sheep! None of this matters!" Everyone applauds. Then he rips off his face and reveals that the president has been nothing but a cyborg who changes his mask every few years ever since Kennedy died. The bar patrons realize freedom of choice has been nothing but an illusion their entire lives. They're fine with that and decide to vote for an Asian mask in 2012.

So true.

The Show / Re: Chick Talk Live - Enough already...
« on: May 15, 2009, 03:28:08 AM »
I'm a long ways behind and only just heard the show today. It was quite a good show. It was nice to hear new callers with different questions. For a while it was getting like the same old thing with the same callers and Ian and Mark preaching to the same choir. This show was a nice refreshing change from that.

I honestly don't believe Ian will become distracted enough to let the show change format and do day after day of talking about feelings or whatever and become Chick Talk Live. The show has never become Conspiracy Talk Live despite conspiracy theorists going at it a lot harder than anyone else.

I like it when Mark makes a joke about Ian never going outside. Ian gets so pissy about it, its funny.

General / Re: Mandatory microchipping in Australia
« on: April 15, 2009, 05:59:29 PM »
As an example of how deeply people are brainwashed i posted my disgust about the abusive and threatening force of government on a major website in Australia and had numerous replies ranging from them wanting to have people microchipped to telling me I should be removed from the gene pool .I was also told that anyone who wants freedom is mentally unbalanced and belongs in an institution, and should be removed permanently from society. The absolute hate that people have for freedom in this country is disgusting.
This doesn't come as a surprise to me at all. Which was the major website by the way?
