Oops, my bad...  Every once in a while, I forget which forum I am on.

I agree 100%, but I'm not one to dwell on the obvious.  What I'm more interested in is distancing myself from those socialists, even if it means dropping terms like "libertarian" or "anarcho-" and emphasizing "capitalism".

What's most interesting is that the duration of the "sweatshop phase" an ancient society needs to go through to bootstrap its economy and catch up to the rest of civilization is shrinking rapidly.  In the first countries of the Industrial Revolution (BeNeLux, Scandinavia, and England), it took generations for people to work out of poverty.  Today I meet freelance IT people (and not just in mindless data entry jobs, but top-notch coders and my direct competitors) who were born into subsistence agriculture, moved to a "sweat shop" factory town as teens, but were able to access a computer and teach themselves to make money with it before they were 20.  The price of education is falling rapidly, as its efficiency rises.  Projects like the Khan Academy, along with micro-credit, are accomplishing great things in lifting people out of poverty ever-faster, while sweatshop-busting socialist governments only stand in the way!

It ain't true.

The State used to plant shit on folks in prison.

Whether Mark was used as their instrument is...  not what's important here.

He certainly ain't a tool of the state no more!

A different kind of tool, maybe, but definitely one of the best.

Some people earn up so much liberty karma that I can forgive them almost anything.

Hey, I haven't been called a pedophile in a while!  I'm gonna jump in...  All those distortions really hurt the last time, but, hey, pain is my friend these days.  It has to be.

I would do business with a non active pedophile but not a active one.

That's a very admirable attitude, but how do you define "active"?  What if someone just jerks off to underage underwear models?  As a fearless explorer of the human condition, let me tell you - for pedophiles it's mostly about the face.  What if they make a collage of legal porn images (sex organs of 18-year-old) intermixed with legal pictures of kids (no private parts exposed)?  What if they touch children, but in a way any parent would, and then get off to it sexually afterward?

OK, we all know my days here are numbered, and I wanna go out with a bang.  A person who values Truth above human relations cannot have any friends left.  No one gets spared!

I've done "truthed off" the statists of a million different varieties, the pot-heads, the peacetards, the extinctionists (ex. gays), the Objectivists (though I respect them the most), the conspiracytards, the there-ain't-no-conspiracytards, the Jesustards, the ethnocentric assholes (ex. KKK or the Jews), the nationalists, the magic-wandists (like Ian), hypocritical "skeptics", the open-source-tards, the closed-source-tards, the "animal rights" tards, and even the tax-paying little rich kids who think spending a tiny fraction of what they pay in taxes to "promote liberty" is their salvation...  Who's left?

Now I've always thought that a mock conversion to Islam, done as convincingly as I've done it, and then a few jokes would check off the Muslims on my list.  Wrong!  When it comes to the rug beaters, I'm not even fit to carry this guy's jockstrap!  Terry Jones has gotten over 400 death threats!  I've received a lot less over all those years...  Serious ones - less than a dozen ...

Of course there are only so many things that I can do without a pig farm and a catapult that can reach Mecca, but I'm going to John Galt out a super-engine of some sort soon enough.  Live pigs, flying through the air, oinking hysterically, and smashing up against the Masjid al-Haram...  Mmmm, beautiful!  I'm not gonna call it my own personal vengeance for 9/11, since I don't take the official story on faith and don't even buy into that over-romanticized hype about "skyscrapers as monuments to human achievement"...  I'm just gonna do this independently of any nationalist or (anti)religious hype, just Alex Libman vs the Kaaba, one on one.  And the place belongs to a tyrannical government, so no issues of Property Rights apply.  I'd like to see that Saudi air force trying to shoot flying pigs out of their sky!  And they most certainly don't have a space program, so they can't outflank me!

But, you know, anyone with a few billion dollars can drop a whole lot of pigs on Mecca.  I can go a step further, because I know where the bodies are buried.  Al-Masjid al-Nabawi.  But piling some bacon on top of good ol Moe is just silly, it probably won't land within 30 yards.  A smarter approach - dig a tunnel.  Then you can have his corpse all for yourself for all sorts of possible amusements - puppetry, sodomy, play around with his DNA...  I wonder how much some of them Republican secret gay pedophiles would pay for a night with Prophet Muhammad's clone?  It's not just about Islam anymore, it's a darn good business plan to boot!

We can't have a winner without a poll.

And we can't have a poll without people taking the nomination process seriously.

I could have scraped it out and filled in the gaps myself, but wasn't in the mood.

Of course the time limits aren't written in stone.

We can run the poll 1-2 weeks and end on 4/20.

I was thinking like a libertarian when I picked April 15th.

Most trolls are unemployed pot-heads, so the 20th is better.

Bah, I just ate a couple of bagels and I'm already having second thoughts.

Zomg, evil carbs attacking me and shrinking my muscles!!!

How was I ever a vegan for 1.5 years?!

It's all in my head...

It's all in my head...

It's all in my head...

OMFG, how are you not in a hospital yet?!

You can have animal fats with no carbs, or carbs with no animal fats, but when you mix the two...

Sacrilege!  Anarchy!  Early grave!

OK, after ~30 days of experimenting with this meat-centric super-low-carb diet, I am calling it quits and going back to veganism.  Observations:

  • My weight stayed exactly the same.

  • The change in diet had no effect on my ailments: exhausted eyes and clinical depression.

  • I did not crave carbs as much as I thought, and I could go with almost zero carbs without feeling any major side-effects.  Although maybe it's just the first month.

  • I never felt hungry, because I ate lots of animal fat.  In fact I found myself eating only two large meals a day on most days.  I also snacked less, because my desire to munch on leafy greens went down for some reason, and snacking on the go is a lot less convenient on this diet (unless it's beef jerky).

  • I think on some days I actually got less protein into my cells than on a bean-centric vegan diet, because of large infrequent meals and there being a limit to how much protein the body can absorb per meal.

  • Although I did not feel any difference, it makes sense that this meat and sodium-heavy diet would cause more stress on the internal organs.

  • Animal products are definitely a lot more expensive than beans, grains, and vegetables, especially ones of highest quality, in spite of all the government subsidies and stuff.  Processed meats and canned fish are cheaper, but you get what you pay for.  They're also more perishable and just pretty darn inconvenient for frugal and on-the-go lifestyles.

I think I'll try this experiment again in a couple of years, when I'll be better able to accurately benchmark how diet affects my physical performance, and also when I can afford to eat lots of highest quality beef, sashimi, etc.  ;)

I agree.  Open competition can bring out the truth, even when competitors are vile superpower governments.  Just a reminder not to get too cozy with them and keep one hand on a gun at all times, so to speak.  We Russians are sneaky little bastards...

Bah, I just don't have the energy anymore.

Not gonna go through with this.

Another host can take over.

He is one of the most Web-productive Free Staters around, IMHO.

I don't know how he's being paid exactly, but there's nothing wrong with making a buck if you can.

I don't see any examples of him posting anything off-topic (and I mean by sane standards, not my own, as I've just broke my own record for low-brow garbage earlier tonight).

OMG, wall of text! Whole BBS died in the tsunami.

Fear not, I've got ways of restoring this forum's intellectual discourse to its proper levels...
