General / Re: Daughter, beware of men bearing pedestals
« on: March 19, 2010, 11:21:05 PM »
Would I be right to interpret it as one failing to live up to false expectations, and those being unfairly held against them? I like metaphors.

General / Re: Tax Court: please critique this general invitation to their trial

I'd happily drive out there to attempt to capture it on video for you, but there's no way I'd be able to make it in time. You'll have to take my best wishes with you, and if we don't hear the results, I'll probably assume you're in jail for "Criminal Fact-Seeking" / Contempt of Court.

Wouldn't change; I still wouldn't partake in any. Never wanted to before, and it sure as hell isn't because of the law.

General / Re: Your Earliest Memory
« on: March 06, 2010, 10:12:48 AM »
I was two or three, and I followed my mother out of a house we were staying at (I have a vague idea of where it is, too), and she said something along the lines of "Watch out for the spider, it's got an egg sac." I looked behind me, and there was a big ass black and red spider that, from my childhood perspective, was the size of my head!

General / Re: can we get to the moon before nasa?
« on: February 26, 2010, 01:26:11 AM »
I imagine someone with the money could get to the moon, make a settlement, rent out and fill space, and live happily ever after before the government could.
Of course, then I also imagine the government revoking citizenships, and declaring everyone on the moon an "illegal alien" before funding the second moon bombing mission.
Heh. Illegal alien.

General / Re: Selling & shipping baklava! =)
« on: February 25, 2010, 11:04:56 PM »
Got my package of awesome today. I took one box to work after having a few pieces with the Lady, and it was a pretty big hit. People seemed confused at the term "Baklava" and intimidated by the look of it (it looks much squishier under FedEx's lights), but everyone who tried it loved it.
I told 'em where to go for more.

This country's filled with a bunch of damned sycophants. You have better friends here.

General / Re: Anagram your name.

This game sucks. The only anagrams that make sense (I cheated with an anagram maker) involve lice or lepers.

I finally got around to placing my order. Looking forward to getting it, maybe taking a few pieces to work and sending business your way.
Or just eating it all myself. We'll see what happens.

Sick. Just sick, that's all I can think to say. Sick, sick bastards.
Had I any spare money, it'd be going right his way. All I can offer is my support and promise to spread the word.

General / Re: judge admits to being full of shit
« on: February 09, 2010, 11:58:07 PM »
The last line made me laugh. That should've been in the title, like so:
Man gets penis glued to stomach, says "he had no hard feelings toward any of them."
Rimshot, anyone?
Anyhow, yeah. I hate double standards of all kind.

« on: February 08, 2010, 01:10:40 PM »
yeah but the idea of the test isnt spelling, its about opposites, so the opposite of pro should be anti.............. not noob............ opposite of noob would be professional
Touché.

« on: February 08, 2010, 11:59:29 AM »
If I recall, the word "noob" has been added to the dictionary, technically making that spelling test fine.
Except for the fact that there's one L in hopeful.
