General / Liberty hand gesture- raised hand L sign
« on: December 29, 2013, 11:41:12 AM »
Hunger games has a scene where the liberty starved population uses a hand gesture to support katniss. That got me thinking.. Does the Liberty movement have a widely used hand gesture?
I have seen a website where the sign language L sign raised overhead was used as a liberty gesture.

I think it would be helpful if at statist political speeches or during any public event, liberty activists could use a raised hand gesture (not the middle finger) to display disagreement, expose others there to liberty principles, and help liberty minded people to identify each other. Not everyone is willing or capable of engaging in civil disobedience that results in arrest.
Unfortunately some may mistakenly believe it is a gun sign, and some violent persons may intend it that way.
Anyone have any experience using this sign?  Hassled ?? accusations it was a gun or gang sign?
Any suggestions or comments?

General / Share New ways to promote liberty
« on: September 04, 2013, 12:22:38 AM »
I went to A Board of Adjustment hearing tonight just to observe and participate as "the public". I was able to speak in favor of the people who paid their "filing fee" so they could ask or beg the city to let them use their property under the same rules that existed when they bought it (variances and special exceptions).  It felt very rewarding to speak publicly in favor of liberty and helping the citizens who just wanted to build fences and small additions.  Do yourself and liberty a favor and go to these hearings alone or in groups and speak for "the public".  It is a lawful, no risk and very rewarding experience. You do not need to have a dog in the fight to speak your mind for liberty.
The same goes for city council, county supervisors, and various public agency meetings. Go!
