I currently live in SC and i'm planning on moving within the next 2-3 years and i was just wondering what the sex offender laws in NH are.
I'm not a violent offender, i was busted when i was 21 for pictures i downloaded between 13 and 19.
Any questions or comments, i'd be more than happy to answer.

For what it's worth, ThatOneGuy, I don't think you're a monster for what you've done as you've described it. You haven't wronged me, so I can't forgive you, but if I could I would. I don't think prison is any kind of solution for whatever problems you may have and I don't doubt that the system will try to abuse you disproportionately to what you have done. I wish you the best to survive the ordeal, get your behaviour in line with your morality and not end up fucked up worse for the experience.
Thanks dude, and everyone else posting on here. I'm sure i'm not gonna be fucked up for the worse, my doctor has gotten me as ready as possible for jail. I do know that the doctor they make me talk to in jail will probably be a douchebag. I'm also annoyed because i live in Charleston SC but they're sending me to a place near Dallas TX, 18 hours and 1500 miles away, with all the jails around the south east, they send me alllll the way out there.

I understand that this is the world we live in, but do you think that i should be tagged for life? Do you think i should be banned from taking my kids or grandkids to an amusement park because of something i did when i was a young man? I know there are people out there who need to be tagged and monitored for life, like predators.

Well, that's true, but do you really think i should be put on a sex offenders list and waste tax payers money sitting in jail for a while for this? I mean, i didn't take any of the pictures or touch any kids. I mean i'm not saying i shouldn't be punished, i wouldn't mind paying reporations to the girls in the pictures or something along those lines.

that could be, but i honestly didn't download anything for almost a year, but i guess it is the super speedy FBI and it could have taken them a year to get it.
and also Denis, they didn't like kick in my door or any thing like that, they waited until i got in my car to head to work and got me out there, but they did intend to kick in my door if no one answered, luckily my dad was there to open the door.

i was using limewire and some guy in the FBI got my IP address through limewire, some how. I'm still not 100% on how exactly they got it, but they got my computer and found the files. The thing that really annoys me is that the doctor i'm seeing, who wrote the book on how to treat predators, says that most of the people they catch for this kind of thing has hundreds or thousands of pictures and videos, not 5 pictures and a video.

Well, it's more like 18 months in jail and 6 months in a halfway house. I guess i'll start at the begining, when i was 12 i started downloading pictures of girls my own age, usually 11-13 year olds. That continued until i was 21, and i understood that it was an additction, an addiction that i was trying to handle by myself, but the FBI thought i was i was a threat to children everywhere! Having never touched, photographed or done anything other than hit the the download button to a child. The FBI raided my house on May 8th 2008 and stole all of my computer equipment, 2 computers that i never got back, my zune, a bunch of CDs, floppy disks, flash drive, digital camera, and several other things. They returned everything they stole except the 2 computers over a year after they stole them.
After they had harassed me and my dad for a few hours, they decided we got off too easy, so the Deputy helping the FBI decided to call the local code enforcement to inspect our house because it was a bit cluttered. we were kicked out of our house for 3 days and could only enter between 6am and 6pm to clean until THEY found our house satisfactory to live in. The FBI also gave us the name of a psycologist who could help me with my condition, a man named Dr. Burke. Turns out the Dr. Burke works for them and would have done everything possible to label me a child rapist, atleast thats what the 2 doctors i've seen since then say about him.
So after a year of hearing nothing, they send a letter saying to be at the courthouse, i plead guilty and they put me on probation. Probation being that i can't leave the state without permission, i had to check in every 2 weeks with my P.O., i can't own a gun, they had to monitor my computer all of that fun stuff. AND the lady they send to check my computer knows literally nothing about them, i have to help her everytime she comes out, and my virus blocker apparently had to be shut off because it was affecting her bug she put in my computer. Now, i was on probation for about a year before they sentenced me to anything, so after 2 years with doctors and 1 of those years being monitored they still thought i was a threat, so they put me in jail.
I got 24 months in low security prison, but the Feds wanted me to get 8 years. 8 years for 5 pictures and a video of child pornography, 5 pictures and a video of girls who are 12 to 13. The judge in my case listened to the doctors and understood that i was not a horrible child predator, but wasn't fit to live my life as usual for the rest of my life. After i get out of jail i will be on lifetime supervision, a lifetime of computer monitoring and a lifetime on the offenders list. As a part of the supervision i can't have anything other than a computer with the internet on it, no smart phones, no Xbox live, none of that.
That's pretty much it, if anyone has any question or anything just ask. I thought about calling in and telling my story, but i suck at story telling and talking on the phone.
