General / Re: What happened to Julia?
« on: August 14, 2011, 10:41:23 AM »
I haven't tuned into FTL in a while and I was wondering what happened to Julia? Did Ian and her break up? What's the story behind it? Is she upset Ian's gone to jail :o

It's a very long, complicated, and personal situation that I do not feel comfortable talking about. I still see Ian regularly and of course I am upset he went to jail.

Lots of mis-info in here. I didn't move anywhere for Panera. I did work at another location for a while, but I was driving up there. I have a new job now, in a completely different business. As a side note - IT'S AWESOME not working in restaurants or management anymore!

Anyway, to be honest, I don't really feel comfortable talking about all of the things that have gone down this year. It's just too personal. I've slowly been coming back into the fold again though; I had a blast doing the show the other night and I think I will continue to do it from time to time as there are a lot of co-hosts now.

Just to clear it up, I have not left town. I work at a different Panera yes, but I drive there from Keene every day.

Julia's the high priestess, although she seems to be in hiding.

Not completely...

I love Julia, I would love to hear her on the show two or three nights a week.  She really makes FTL a better show when she's on, the show takes on a complete more complex character with her.

I have never met her and I understand that she is a bit camera shy.  She looks really young in all the pictures that I've seen. It's judging someone by their looks, but she seems responsible and intelegent and I enjoy her participation on the show.  She just looks like my sister when she was fourteen.  It just is, I don't mean that as a insult.

I couldn't molest any child because I don't feel sexual about any of them.  Julia looks like that to me in her pictures.  I really love her on the show and I'm sure I'd like her, she just looks so young.  I wonder if anyone else has thought of that or if she just doesn't photograph well... or there's lots of old picture up there of her.

Anyway... A follow up to the question should be how do you want to molest the person you chose.

I hate pictures. The ones you've seen are at least three years old though. I look young, but not 14. Here's a more recent one:

Thanks for the compliments though!

I thought wile-e-coyote was Julia or am I getting old user names messed up?

Maybe.  All I can say is that those people were annoying enough at one time to make me not want to see their posts anymore.  Julia might've been trolling and I just didn't realize it, but I doubt I would put Julia-as-Julia on ignore.

Yeah, that's definitely not me. I would hope that my life is never lame enough to consider trolling forums.

The Show / Re: Acid Trips and Splitting Birds

I like acid, but it's a workout.  I treat it like a lucid dream-- the first time I didn't really understand what was happening, but every time after that it has been easy to separate the trip from reality while still appreciating the trip.  I wouldn't ever go out in public while tripping, and will only trip if I can hang out outside and look at the plants, the grass, the sky, and the trees in privacy.  It wouldn't be good to have some straight person gawking at me while I watch the vegetation grow.   Calling it "fun" seems like a misnomer.  Ecstasy is fun.  Acid is more like experimenting with reality.  I would even call it educational.

Acid is definitely mentally exhausting.

Ecstasy is a great deal of fun; throw in a little acid and some nitrous oxide and it's even more fun.

I'm not sure what you are asking.

For me, acid gives an interesting look at perspective, and it's fun, but I don't try and justify my drug use by claiming its spiritual. I eat acid because it's fun. Lots of fun.

Can't the CIV/DIS folks come up with some better ideas? This idea is so old. After the feminists got the right to go topless in Toronto, very few females actually did it. It's been probably more than 10 years that Toronto has allowed women to go topless, and I have never seen any female go topless, and I don't know anyone who has. I imagine it only happens at the gay pride parades, and that's about it.

So then....what's all this about women wanting to actually do it, and then when they are allowed to do it....they still don't want to do it?!?!?!?

LOL.

Sad thing is that this just gives people another opportunity to call white guys names like "sexist", "racist", "homophobe" ....and what not. I find it interesting to see such name-calling within the liberty movement, and it makes me think the name callers are really, deep down, just a bunch of no class dirty hippies.

I actually did see a topless woman in Toronto when I was there a few years ago. Anyway, if it were legal, it would be very rare for me to take my shirt off, but there are definitely rare situations, particularly when it was really hot out, where it'd be nice to have the option.
