General / A possibly good idea
« on: July 13, 2010, 06:44:04 PM »
So i was thinking, but it hurt so i stopped.
Anyhow, I had this idea. Wouldn't it be cool if a company like PayPal worked out some way (maybe rounding off a bit of each of your transactions?) to get money into a separate account designated for the use of donating to podcasts and musicians and other donation based services/products. The idea is that most people want to compensate those whom they have benefited from but the internet makes doing so so much more difficult than not. If they have a paypal account specifically for this purpose, and a paypal link on the website that they are downloading from they would be more likely to fall on the side of morality. The anonymity game has been running its course for quite some time on the internets. Lets add some more responsibility into internet culture.
The question is, would anybody be interested? would paypal find such an idea to be the least bit profitable?
since my idea isn't all that interesting, lets make this a general good idea thread. What are your possible good ideas?
