General / Are "libertines" dangerous?
« on: February 10, 2014, 05:26:29 PM »
Libertarians Are Not Libertines  I kind of thought the argument turned out to be against homosexuality. I don't think just being gay would make anybody a bad parent, so I strongly disagree on that. He brings a good point though, there has to be a line somewhere in how whacky behaviour the liberty movement should except for it to thrive. Where would a reasonable libertarian draw the line?
I kind of have my little crusade against people who need to dominate their lover. I decided that if someone wants to submit to the will of someone in private it is not my problem, but slapping or yelling at your sub in public and it is. Also someone imprisoning another, even concentually, and I have a problem. Especially if the "guardian" won't let anyone talk to the charge.
I happen to know that these are hard subjects to discuss, but anyone who wishes to do so is welcome to chime in. I would like easy answers and I don't have any.

The Rubber Room - Not Safe for Work / Tops Bottoms and Liberty 2
« on: January 30, 2013, 05:05:42 PM »
I think I got this thing figured out.
Instead of hating on people who want to dominate maybe I should ask "Can't someone who wants to submit to their lover be allowed to be free?"
The truth is about half the population wants to be subordinate and there is nothing wrong with that.
Instead of expecting Dale or MWD to hold themselves to some sort of ideal (that I can't even achieve) maybe I should look up to them for admitting the world is how it is.
We have liberty guys all over the place complaining about there not being enough ladies in the movement, but maybe libertarian men need to man up. Most women want a strong guy to rescue them, fix problems etc.
I'll bet a feminine gay man is like that as well.
We should sell subordinate people what they want instead of busting on them for being weak.
I submit that maybe offering the bottoms what they are after, a supportive giving partner, would be a good sell.
Time will tell if humanity can have a population raised with the NAP in mind and end up in equal partnerships having successful families, but that isn't the world we live in right now.

I don't really know why, but I thought Ian's voice was more pleasantly sounding when he was sitting in Marks chair. Maybe a difference in mike pitch or something.

Serious Business / Help Bernard Von Nothaus
« on: January 26, 2012, 05:44:55 PM »
From The FTL facebook page. If I am willing to buy a stamp, then most of you can too. Also many non liberty people can be brought on board to help this man being railroaded for a victimless crime. So email and share.
Thank You,
Al

How to help the Liberty Dollar's Bernard Von Nothaus:

It is my opinion that the jury erred and the judge was fair and impartial so please address Judge Voorhees respectfully.

Please simply mention that you support the Liberty Dollar, heard me speak at an event, was a supporter, an associate, or simply a part of the Liberty Dollar organization, used Liberty Dollars or support the moral cause for ...a honest value based currency. And then ask the judge to dismiss my case or not sentence me to any prison time because the Liberty Dollar was good for you and our country, that you don't know of any victims or that you know I had no criminal intent.

FYI: Your letter need not be long. The sheer number of letters speaks much louder than the size of any one letter.

Please send your brief letter ASAP to:
The Honorable Richard L. Voorhees
U.S. District Judge
U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina
250 Charles R. Jonas Federal Bldg.
401 West Trade Street
Charlotte NC 28202
And add: PLEASE FREE BVNH to the bottom left hand corner of your envelope.

Other than writing this letter… the MOST IMPORTANT thing you can do is share this letter writing campaign with your list of friends, post it on a blog, tweet or Facebook it as I need individual letters from as many people as possible.

Many, many thanks for your kind support and assistance during these trying times. Your efforts to return American to an honest monetary system will not be long forgotten and hopefully will lead the way towards those goals, it is that I hope and pray.

Does anybody else find this show interesting? I guess I like to hear friendly conflict and this particular podcast delivers in spades. I hadn't even downloaded the animal rights episode. I was like, "so what?" but heard it anyway on LRN. They take subjects and really make them interesting.

General / The movie 1984 and the voluntaryist symbol

1984 - Eurythmics "Ministry Of Love"

I have never seen 1984. This Video showed up in my inbox. I dig the Eurythmics so I watched the thing. I noticed that what I believe is the flag symbol for the baddies really resembles the Voluntaryist emblem. If I understand this correctly this coincidence kind of bothers me. Does anyone have any discussion? Am I being silly or am I misconstruing something?

I was actually going to bitch at Ian for not having freedom feens on LRN, but found out today I don't need to.
I started listening about a month ago, and really like it, it is my second favourite podcast. Hope the other listeners like it as well.

Got me dude. That sort of shenanigans could have gotten a lesser man in trouble.
In case a reader is really curious, it is a crotch shot of a guy in a "fuck me" pose.
Just to make it a little more insidious, it is a really high resolution photo that locks your system.

I am fine folks. I live far away in the Northern part. Evidently a bomb went off right outside the main government building and their is some nutcase firing into a refugee holding place. Here are some photos.

General / Why Openly Defy the State?
« on: July 17, 2011, 04:25:35 PM »
I think it is game over kiddies. Batten up the hatches, start understanding THIS IS A WAR! and act like it. I know I am just a fanboy, but I like Ademo, Pete, Jim Johnson, his wife, Ridley, M7 and so on. This being at the state's mercy is soon going to cost some fellow traveller dyr. Can't you people lay a little lower and just build?
Us libertarians have to learn from history. The evil of the state is quite infinite. They are incapable of empathy. Many statist would sacrifice your life and liberty for a free pie with lunch and the ones who wouldn't follow evil orders are more scared of the ones that would then even we are. They won't save you. Why repeatedly be at their mercy?
The fact we keep losing jury trials doesn't help the protester argument either. The court system will crush you, they will never self regulate or reflect.
I don't see the point. It is a fools errand.
Dennis Goddard called in like the condescending prick he usually is and bragged on a FTL podcast. He had a sheriff by the balls. Say what you want about Dennis but, THIS IS FUCKING COOL.
The agorist who DO NOT try to face down cops, and work hard enough, make incredible gains for liberty and the respect of the public. One of the best just moved to NH and another is moving. Several businessmen are also around and I am sure making more real gains then any protest or getting bonked over the head has done. I believe the proof is in the pudding.
Openly putting ourselves at the mercy of the enforcers will not work, just get people hurt. Its one thing when they go after you, another when you get in their face and beg them to crush you like a bug.
When the system gets away with the aggression it shows strength. You got on youtube, they kicked your ass.
Why openly defy the state?
