He is a black scholar who wrote a scathing rebuke of Lincoln. Given the resurgence of Lincoln worship because of Spielberg's fictional movie about him, it might be a timely interview.

It might be even better to have him on the show so the callers could ask him questions.

Here's a link to a review on mises.org:

Here is a link to several video interviews and speeches by him:

Please rate these guitars, if you don't mind. Please vote for the ones that you like the best.

Also, please mention which one you like the least.

Reasons you like or don't like them will be appreciated too.

PS: Whoever it was that introduced me to this site sucks. I am totally hooked now.

I felt joy and thats all that matters.

Not Joy, but joy.  Feeling Joy would be entirely different.

You should do it if you think you can sell it down the line.  I think if you are gonna do it, at least you should scoop up several for the trip (but keep them separate).

My gal says no, cuz she thinks you are going to kill somebody.

Well, I decided not to for a few reasons:

1. Though some people here missed the sarcasm, I am not interested in paying a $70K (or whatever it is) fine for illegally importing a wild animal.
2. I had a dream (or rather, a nightmare) that I woke up, the jar was open and the killer scorpion was loose in my room somewhere.
3. I couldn't find a buyer on such short notice, even if I was interested in risking the crazy-ass fine.

Is there a photo hosting site that I can upload nude pics to?

Nice, but the ones I have found forbid nude photos.

 8)

I was imagining one of the (rare) co-hosts only shows (for example, when Mark and Ian are away) with Julia and another chick.

That would rule!

How many more co-hosts does the show need?  What difference does it make whether they are women or not?

I think it's like with Skeptic's Guide to the Universe-- women who are knowledgeable on the subject and can speak eloquently about it are so rare that it gets guys hot to listen to one.   :)
I like women.

Not that I don't like Julia, but I think there should be more female voices on FTL.

I am in Kuwait, and there are fat-tailed black scorpions running around here everywhere.

I have caught one and keep it in my office. I have been toying with the idea of bringing it back to the states and selling it.

First of all, since this is the second most venomous scorpion in the world, what are your views about bringing it back? What if someone buys it, brings it home and is stung and dies? What if, in fact, my customer's child is killed? Am I to blame, in your view?

Secondly, how much would YOU pay for such an animal?

are you a fucking idiot?
If I was a fucking idiot, would I know it?

You should know.  Everyone keeps calling you an idiot
Then I must not be an idiot.

According to Avery Exotics which is out of British Columbia, the cost of a 2 1/2 inch fat tailed scorpion is $65.

Seems like a pittance to risk bodily harm or possible death (if the scorpion manages to escape while traveling) and being caught by Customs for.  Wildlife smuggling can get you 10 years in prison and a fine of about $70,000.
To make $65 Canadian, I'll take that chance.

I had a liberal once tell me that no one enjoys tobacco products. Evil tobacco companies put additives in there that make you think you are enjoying it.

I asked the obvious question: assuming that's so, and I do not (especially in the case of cigars, which is how I indulge in tobacco consumption) what is the difference between actually enjoying something and being tricked into thinking that you are enjoying something?

why can't people be statisfied with either a cat or a dog, like a normal human being.

Because normal is boring?

Scorpions are neat animals, but I prefer a dog, personally. I know some people like to buy them and keep them as pets, that's why I am considering bringing it home with me: to sell.

I don't know what price it will fetch. I understand that Emperor Scorpions cost between $20-60.
