The Polling Pit / Re: voting

They should just create a single political party, that way everyone who votes will be right!
And since Americans value voting for a winner more than they value voting for someone they support, everyone will be happy!

Credit systems are nice, but they ALWAYS create the illusion of wealth.
Every and any amount of credit you create is artificial wealth.

It acts like something when it is really nothing. This is dangerous.
Credit systems are prone to failure, and if that happens those who have invested in the system are left with nothing.

God forbid a kid should hear profanity.
But graphic showings of blowing people up is perfectly fine.

Of course, there's always jury nullification...

So, can someone point me to an example where it has worked? Anyone?
How about.....

Throughout the entire Prohibition Era.

Don't sweat it KitKat, I'm also in high school.  There isn't much to do when everyone ignores what you have to say.  I've stopped trying to convince other people, and I've decided I'm going to sit back and enjoy my last 2 years with my friends before I leave and probably never see them again.

Just focus on life after you get out of jail high school, and don't worry about all the socialists surrounding you.
They can squirm there for the rest of their lives while we move on to be free in NH.

General / Re: From where do you derive your liberty?
« on: December 27, 2005, 06:44:24 PM »
Because it falls under the option 'evolutionary achievement', and if you didn't have the brain capacity of a snail you might have recognized this.
Lets see.......

Evolutionary Achievement means I have opposable thumbs and walk upright.
Working for liberty means I voice the value of liberty and refuse to let others take it.

Please explain again how these are the same thing.
Or better yet, explain how the first one grants me liberty.

Quote
Because you have the right to liberty whether you strive for it or not.
The poll is on where you derive your liberty, not where you derive your rights.
It doesn't matter what our rights are if they're constantly violated.

Being a human may mean we have the right to liberty, but it certainly doesn't mean we have liberty (as one can observe in our current state of the world).
The ONLY way to actually have and maintain liberty is to work for it.

People derive their liberty by working for it.
Unless you strive to keep it, you won't have it.

Why isn't this option on the poll?

I believe brokor is correct, and all government currencies are fiat currencies.

But one thing is for sure:  there are private currency alternatives.
