On the topic of what the numbers were, there was an internet based game between seasons a few years ago that revealed what the numbers were. Granted, it would have been a lot better to have done it in the show. What the numbers meant could have been where the show was initially driving to, then it got abandoned.

In summary, the numbers were the result of the mathematician's formula that predicted exactly when humans would destroy themselves. Part of why Dharma was on the island was to try to harness the power of the island to change the results of the equation for the better.

Don't touch an instrument anywhere near as much as I should anymore. Have a 25 year old Fender acoustic on loan to a buddy too. The wood is aged so well by now that it sounds spectacular.

Up on the 3rd floor so that it's not an eyesore anywhere that 'matters'. In the middle of sheathing cables and such so it's less of a mess. Not pictured are the laptops and 24" iMac. The desk itself, I hate and is on it's way out soon.

The Armenian side liked it, and liked the moisture.
Other than scarfing it up like the Turks were coming to take it, they didn't have much to say beyond declaring it 'good'.

Went through one package of the stuff last night.

To me, like BonerJoe, the 'wet' was a huge plus, a lot better then the usual mouthful of dryness you get with Baklava.
I was kind of surprised at how strong the clove flavor was. I liked the strong clove, it gave it's own distinct type of flavor compared to
'generic' baklava. Other people seemed a bit put-off by how strong the clove was.

Not like chunks of nuts in my food much, the fine grind on the nuts in this was awesome too, brought out more of the nut flavor in a very smooth filling.
Serious props there.

Last night Italian part of the family though, who don't know shit about things like baklava.
Tomorrow, I'm bringing the second package to the Armenian side, who are significantly more baklava aware.

Cool concept?  Pretentious excuse for fucking with people?  Your thoughts?

Either one is okay with me.

Oh god, this shit is good.

That's all the review I need, will be ordering some for the holiday dinner visit I think.

I pretty much had a lot of these thoughts for the first time when this game came out. I've gamed for years, so of course there have been plenty of military shooters in there.
This is actually the first time that I've felt torn as to whether or not to buy a game like this.
Yeah, it's a game and simply entertainment, but my principles have, at this point, become so adverse to the glorification of the military that I truly have no desire to play it.
I'm rapidly getting to be the same way about movies, TV shows, etc. that do the same glorification with the military or the police.

Of course, I'm not going to preach that someone else should or shouldn't do, I couldn't give a crap what someone else does. But for me, I think that my principles are getting so pervasive and consistent in my life now that I have no desire to support or consume things like this.

That being said, if the online play is good enough, I'll probably easily cave to peer-pressure and pick it up.
I will realize the I am intentionally violating my feelings on the matter though, for whatever that is worth.

I have a WoW account, but I'm not playing it much these days.  Kinda burnt out.

Same here on WoW, have had the account on hold for like 6 mos. or so now.

Currently Brutal Legend, Borderlands and Wet on the 360.

Philip Morris was the 'corporate sponsor' of this legislation.  PM doesn't sell any of the banned tobaccos.
The usual dots to connect.

I've found with my own quit attempts that nicotine supplements didn't really 'take the edge off' as much as kept the addiction alive.
Quit 14 months ago today without nicotine supplements.

Police: Stranger Slaps Crying Toddler at Wal-Mart

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. -- Police say a 61-year-old man annoyed with a crying 2-year-old girl at a Wal-Mart slapped the child several times after warning the toddler's mother to keep her quiet.

A police report says after the stranger hit the girl at least four times, he said: "See, I told you I would shut her up."

Roger Stephens of Stone Mountain is charged with felony cruelty to children.

Authorities say the girl and her mother were shopping Monday when the toddler began crying.

The police report says Stephens approached the mother and said, "If you don't shut that baby up, I will shut her up for you."

Authorities say after Stephens slapped the girl, she began screaming.

The mother then called for security.

The girl suffered some redness in the face but was otherwise okay.

Stephens is currently being held without bond.
