The Polling Pit / Re: Shrine Baby Ban?

Drop them babies! :) Or rename the shrine to Shrine of Femalaby listeners. I'd say if a mom is in the pic with a baby, keep it. If it is only a baby, remove it.

your just mad because those babies get more breast time than you. leave the babies alone

I say drop 'em!

The Polling Pit / Re: ron paul a racist??

"Second Language" is not a proper noun.  Unless it is the title of your new book it should not be capitalized.
The thing people are voting on, up there, is called a "poll",  not a "pool".  A pool is a body of water, or a group of people or things who share a similar task, and while I can see the error of similarities, they are not the same.
The guy who created this POLL is known to be a "dickhead", and while I regret the slim chance this piece of terminology might be mistaken to impart the concept he is Glans Penis of the human "cock", if you will, it should be noted he is, in fact, just a "man" with less than average intelligence.

Thanks, Smoke, for correcting me. I know it's a "poll", but somehow I misspelled it. However, I tend to forgive myself when I make grammar mistakes, considering it is my second language. But when native speakers make a cardinal mistake, I find it interesting and funny.

I did not know about the creator of the POLL. I guess I won't bother with his posts any more.

Feel free to print this out for future reference, this is public domain.

Also, what do you mean by "takes there money, but is not" and "takes there money, and is" - what is "there" exactly? A grammar mistake?

duh.

While it's "duh" to you, bakerbaker, it's still a question to me, because I find it interesting that somebody who doesn't speak English as a Second Language could make such a mistake. Besides, if he wants people to participate in the pool poll, he could have made it more clear. Now you can duh as much as you want.

Can you put "maybe" and "who cares?" into two separate bullets? There may be maybies who care.  (Was "?" supposed to come after "who cares"?).

Also, what do you mean by "takes there money, but is not" and "takes there money, and is" - what is "there" exactly? A grammar mistake?

The Polling Pit / Re: Demographics - Reading Material?

That is hobbies / crafts

What if I want to read about the Fine Art in paintings or Art of Architecture but creating such art aren't my hobbies?
They don't fall into "crafts" category either.

I think there are only like 5 or 6 women from that shrine posting here.

Or women posting here, but are not on the shrine.

The Polling Pit / Re: Changing last name because of marriage
« on: September 13, 2007, 12:11:39 PM »
I've never understood what's behind changing woman's last name to husband's - proof of ownership over a woman in a traditional sense?
Whatever it is, I suggest not to change it. Imagine all the paperwork you will need to do if you change it. I'm lucky to have only 4 letters easy pronauncable (foreign) last name, which, by the way, I like, and won't face the same problem as Rillion may, if I ever should marry (which most likely won't happen). Oh yes, and it's my mom's last name.

The other thing is that I'm against registering your private matter with the government. And if you don't register it, you don't need to worry about changing your last name.

The Polling Pit / Re: what is your favorite continent?
« on: July 16, 2007, 04:00:44 AM »
Did you know that European schools teach kids that there are 6 continents? North and South America make one. Some schools teach that there are 5. Besides North and South America, Europe and Asia (Euroasia) make one as well. Just FYI.

You could have given at least one criteria - favorite because of what?

Possibly. Ian said "...AMP will stay as is. If you don't think I'm making good decisions, don't send money."

If you request budget/amp spendings from Ian, but don't get it from him, you can always withdraw your donations. If a lot of people does the same (and I'm not suggesting it, because, again I have no problem how Ian spends money I've been donating), maybe Ian will be convinced that is smarter to run a report, then lose valuable amp donations. Budget of non-profits organizations, for example, is available to the public because it comes from grants and donations made by the public (individual donations, corporate donations, foundations, and unfortunately gov't grants).

As long as I like this show, I will be glad to support it. I don't care about the details as where my money goes.

You may not, but what about the people that do?

Perhaps, one option would be to write an email to Ian requesting details.
