For a Michigander, I'd specifically tell them that Manchester is like being just North of Michigan Avenue between Greefield and Schaefer. Just shitty old tract housing and dudes wearing too much gold and sitting on the hoods of their 1988 Z-Rock Cameros listening to WRIF.

The only difference is that in Manchester it's a white guy rather than a middle eastern dude. And maybe less gold.

Reminds me of watching two MD interns arguing in the parking lot at DMC sinai grace, both middle eastern/brown/whatever and one called the other a 'sand guido'.  The sensitivity training made me want to be offended but it was so hard to overcome my laughter.  Not sure if they were actually pissed at each other or just messing around.

For the record, I've YET to see a 'ghetto' in New Hampshire.

The housing in downtown Manchester... I've seen those houses. Maybe you can't call them a 'ghetto' but you could certainly call a huge number of areas 'shitholes'.

I went into houses there. They looked like a house on the border between Detroit and Dearborn. Old, ratty, bad plumbing, dry rotted wood, shitty postage stamp yards, the woiks.

Looks like and Ann Arbor that went to seed.

Not that I have any idea about the specifics of where Jay is staying.

So not as bad as the john r part of detroit where "the roof has a new tarp covering it, bought in 2010" is considered a property feature?

it's not.
If you show up for a specific drive where they are looking for a donor for a specific person they'll try to get a $100 donation from you to cover the cost since insurance won't cover it but it's not necessary.

Don't get the variable volt ego.  The switch housing to battery is a snap fit that gets loose with time.  I bought 2 of the 900mah ones, killed one, other one is working well.  Provari seems to be the #1 vv mod but to me it looks like ass.  Smoketech will come up with a VV e-power and I'll be on it.  Until then, I'm going to keep chugging along with my bats I already own.

The socialists are right, the libertarians are WRONG! Only socialists in government worldwide will have the clout and power to tax and control monopolistic planet wrecking global capitalist corporations. Can libertarians control big mega-corporations before they destroy the entire planet?  - I DON'T THINK  SO!

Ron Paul wants to make it legal to build fast food restaurants on top of Half Dome in Yosemite National Park, or hey how 'bout a golf course? Ron Paul is the WORST of all possible candidates. His foreign policy sounds good but wait until he gets in office - SUCKERS!

Only socialists can create bread lines, fill hospital emergency rooms, and make the streets pitch black at night.

Two outta three of those can be done with a slingshot and a bag of ball bearings.

Nicotine can be fatal, but vaping it wouldn't be a way to do that.  I buy it in a somewhat concentrated form of 10% nicotine, or 100mg/ml and dilute from there.  A toxic dose is .6-1mg/kg bodyweight.  That means the average 200lb person could die from as little as 54 mg of nicotine.  That's 1/2 a ml of the concentrate I use and about 3-4ml of the average ready to use juice.  That is also the amount of nicotine in 4-5 cigarettes.  The reason vaping and smoking doesn't kill you is absorption ability.  A cigarette releases about 10-12mg of nicotine, of which the body only absorbs about 1mg.  Assuming similar absorption rates, it would be impossible to use enough liquid to reach that kind of concentration in the body before your body breaks down the nicotine through vaping.  I think it may be possible if we skip the vaporizer and instead focus on nebulizing the liquid.

The stuffy nose is pretty common reaction to the pg in the liquid used.  PG and VG are both potent humectants and can dehydrate you quite a bit on exhale.  That 'smoke' is really fog, using water from your own body.  Drinking extra water helps with this quite a bit.  Also, some people are sensitive to pg and can get stuffy nose with it.  I had huge stuffy nose issues when I quit cigarettes to vaping and learned the hydration thing quick.  The stuffy nose thing seems to last just a week or two though.

Common nonlethal signs of nicotine overdose: increased metabolism, insomnia, nausea, vomiting, headaches, shortness of breath, heart palpitations, sweating and pale skin similar to a heart attack.  Nicotine is a vasoconstrictor so I'm sure it probably can cause some short duration hypertension.
That said, it's also quite often prescribed by phyicians overseas as a weight loss product.

I haven't consumed a tobacco product in over 18 months and the urinalysis I ran a month ago was positive for hydroxycotinin - one of nicotines main metabolites.  The typical vaper inhale is much different than a cigarette smoker and I'd bet the absorption rates are different but we are getting it and can get the nic buzz and if push comes to shove, the nic overdose as well.

how bout speaking in tongues?

Paul made it pretty clear in 1 Corinthians 14 that if there isn't anyone able to interpret you should shut the fuck up.  Every time I've seen it, it's been all about the pageantry and while it always gave me something to chuckle about, didn't seem to do shit for the people that fell for the racket.

Youth no, early adulthood yes.
I still think back to my first place.  A $10000 trailer with $350/month lot rent.  No pets, no wife, no responsibilities really.  Could make all my payments on 1/2 months worth of wages so I had lots of disposable income.  Was the ultimate hang out spot for a close-knit group of friends.  Several of them had the house key, never knew who was going to be there from one day to the next.  It was the unofficial weekend place, people would start showing up Thursday, leave mondayish.  Driver for the local pizza place delivered to us so much he'd gladly stop by the grocery store for us to restock the booze and would show up after work and chill.  Unofficial signup sheet for Friday dinner where everyone tried to outdo the last guy.  We wound up with these huge ass 10# lasagnas that'd last us all weekend.  Still remember running outta food and 'sneaking' into one guy's house in the middle of the night and raiding their cabinets - we filled up two pillow cases full of food and split before his parents woke up and saw us.  Now I'm all responsible and shit and it's good but I miss those days like a mofo.

Raised as a fundie, went off to college as your typical, lukewarm believer going through the motions.  At college hit a weird stage in my life.  Too far away from my old friends and didn't fit into any new crowd really.  Went to parties and drank, pretended to care but was a bit lost.  Rediscovered the whole church thing and got hooked pretty deep.  Moved into christian housing, was super involved, blah blah.  Started really studying the bible and digging in and that would be the mistake.  One thing led to another, seeing how the money I was struggling to make was wasted and questions weren't answered led to more questions led to more digging.  Dig through enough and you realize it's a total crock of shit.  I think for a lot of people our own morality develops and when our god doesn't agree with our morality, we question both.  My morality didn't change.  My god was found lacking.  He died.  It was a very sad time, realizing there wasn't an invisible, caring being out there that loved me and wanted me to live with him forever, if only I'd just through all his weird and mysterious and everchanging hoops.  He made no sense, he wasn't all powerful, he wasn't all-loving or all-knowing or any of that.  My imaginary friend wasn't any of these things.  He was just... imaginary.
