My latest status update.

If you guys really want to convince the average NH voters that Ron Paul is actually a viable candidate for them and not just for the "winger" types, you need to up your enthusiasm and passion. People on horseback carrying a huge yellow flag with an obscure culty-looking symbol with a snake on it just isn't attn-getting enough. You need to to hoot and hollar while firing guns into the air. You need a blimp flashing his name. You need people to know you're so passionate about Ron Paul that you'd do things normally reserved for people with borderline personality disorders. Look, I'm trying to give you some basics on communication skills here. Are you paying attn? Now get off yer duffs and raise the energy levels out there. There's only a few days left and this is the last chance to save 'murica!!

I heard you voted today, Dale. This one's for you, buddy!

Is the Last Biscuit lady going to be in Agora Valley or has she gone underground? Hope someone is doing breakfast food.

George's Famous Baklava will be doing breakfast right at the top of Row B, in RV spot #30.  As of right now we have two breakfast sandwiches we've released pictures of.  It's still early, so I'm sure we'll add more menu items.  The first is the meatless "breakfast gyro."  It's egg, onion, tomato, and cheese on grilled pita bread.  Hi res pics:

Then we have the breakfast gyro deluxe.  This baby has some extras on top of the egg, tomato, onion, and cheese.  It includes bacon and gyro meat!  More hi res pics of the first one of these I ever made:

Much like last year I can promise you some of the fastest service at Porcfest.  I know how to get meals out fast, so you won't be waiting around to eat!  :D

George - What's the average turnaround time right now? Trying to time my order so baklava arrives just in time for the 10th. Mr. Joy's a big fan - your baklava & a turkish coffee will make for a darn near perfect birthday breakfast.

If you want it for the 10th, just order now & note that.  I'll ship it out Wednesday, 4/7 to make sure you have it by 4/10 at the latest (probably will arrive 4/9).

BTW, BonerJoe & I met, along with digitalfour, a few weeks ago here in my hometown of York, Pa.  We had a great time hanging out for a few hours.  BJ & I decided to go into business together for Porc Fest and will be offering such awesome things as gyros, fries, greek iced frappes, baklava, and maybe more stuff.  How does that sound to you guys?   :D  We're going to be set up in RV spot 13, which is close to the picnic pavilion.  I'm pumped!

Sovereign Curtis is someone I consider a friend, so I'm going to be setting something up to try to help him out.  If you buy baklava from now until whenever (no deadline) I will donate 50% of the non-shipping costs to his CD Evolution fund.  If you ever wanted to order baklava from me now would be a great time.  You'll get an awesome treat & you'll get to help Curtis fund his legal defense.  Just mention it's to support Curtis in the notes so I know.  I will likely publicly thank everyone who donated to him.  If you wish to remain anonymous just let me know.

Thanks!

Baklava runners doesn't roll off the tongue like rum runners, but I love the mental image of a canoe stocked up with baklava, heading into Canada.

Osborne, did you grab a piece or twelve?  I'm hoping Tarrin's mouth wasn't the only one to receive the Honey God's splooge this weekend.

It's a cost thing, not a regulation thing.  I haven't found a reasonable way to get baklava there within 2-3 business days, and I don't want it taking 7-10 days for $25+ in shipping charges.  :(

Perhaps you need a distributer willing to buy it in bulk (at bulk prices) for resale?

That would be fantastic if I could find someone like that.  It certainly would cut down on shipping costs.

George's Famous Baklava is now the official sponsor of the Wheels off Liberty podcast.  I love Mike, Jamie, and Tarrin, so I was more than happy to sponsor those guys.  It's definitely one of the best pods out there!

She's actually listed as a Top Seller on eBay, and her buyer feedback looks good.  I just think she was completely turned off by the buckwheat honey taste.  That is hilarious though, Drifter.  Some people just go through life completely miserable and they want everyone else to feel the same way.  I'd rather just smile at these people and tell them to have a nice day.

I just listened to the Wheels off Liberty podcast that came out yesterday, and Jamie & Tarrin gave me props for my baklava.  I sent Jamie an order off of the *exact* same pan this lady got, and Jamie said it was amazing.  The entire podcast is great as always, but they briefly mention my baklava business in the first 5 or 6 minutes of the pod.

I gave this lady a refund and even gave her positive feedback on eBay.  If I get one negative response out of every 150+ orders then I can only assume I'm doing something right.

After nearly 6 months I finally got my first customer that hated it!  She said it tasted "rancid," which is strange because everyone else who received their order from the same pan as her said it was fantastic.  I think the buckwheat honey must have been too strong for her tastes.  /shrug  I'm not going to lose any sleep over this, but I thought I'd mention it.  No matter what you are selling or doing you are bound to find someone who isn't happy with your product or service.
