And to anyone who wants to play around with a photoshop-like application, GIMPshop is the open source GNU Image Manipulation Program (get it, GIMP?) that's license-free with a PS layout..  It can do a lot of what PS can do, plus all the basic photo editing stuff that any graphic program can do.  On top of all that, there's a lot of built in filters and rendering engines that photoshop doesn't have, plus a few scripting APIs for people to make their own modules (I'm sure you can find some online).
