Wow, this came out a lot better then I expected. The trick is to use brightness and contrast just enough to make his face lighter, without making it look totally washed out. Mines a bit washed out, but I'm sure with a longer bit of twiddling someone could make it match more perfectly. It takes more tweaking then I spent on it.

What I think really tries it to the photo to the image is that I drew on his face to try and match it with the actual painting. I color selected the lightest color on his neck and drew some highlights on his face. Be sure to Gaussian blur it too, It's  important because it smoothes out the face a bit. (Upping the contract makes it look ugly) And then I did the same for a few dark spots. It isn’t a perfect match, but it's a hell of a lot better then it was before.

I also used the liqify tool just a  *tad* bit to make the beard look more like it was part of his chin.

Here is my photoshop file so you can see exactly what I did. That way you can try it yourself and make your version a bit better. Good luck. Remember, to stop sucking at photoshop all you have to do it keep working on stuff. Even I'm not too great when it comes to realistic photo-manipulation (I'm more comfortable at abstract) but when you do lots of little things like this Jesus, you can't help but get better over time.

Wow, cool. Thank you very much!  :D

I think a strong morph would be useful, but it's more time consuming to do a similar result as the photoshop both you did. So I'm not sure...

bonerjoe I'm surprised you're not selling any t-shirts on that site.
It's not for profit. I would be selling out!

What a load of crap!!!   If you can make money off the sale of some tee shirts you would be performing a three fold service to society.  First you would be able to supplement your income.  Secondly your would be able to keep some tee shirt manufactures in business adding to their income.   And thirdly letting people express their desire to shock other people.  I really don't get this whole selling out crap.

Then I'd also have to find a credit card processor that would be willing to deal with me, because you can be sure that I would be kicked off Paypal. Fucking PETA...

PayPal, PayPal, PayPal, why is it people only think PayPal does secure internet credit card transactions?!  These are some of the alternatives.  You could always go to some of the porn sites and see who their credit card processing companies to be sure they don't care about PETA or anyother group for that matter.  Do some research for crying out loud.

Hey, if you want to go for it, I'll link to your merchandise website selling whatever PetMeats.com branded stuff you want to.

What do you mean by morph exactly? Like Liqify morphing? Or is there another way to morph stuff in photoshop?

And wolf...have you played with the photoshop file yet? Tried to do it yourself? I also would suggest trying to make the joint blend better into the image by making it look more-painting like. maybe up the contrast up a bit and try to make a copy of it that a little blury...then run..err. I think overlay..or maybe screen. Not too sure. Just twiddle with it a bit.

Actually, I have been pretty busy with other projects in the last couple of day's, but I fully intend to. I really appreciate your help btw.
I checked out your website, you are really good.
Do you mind if I post a few of your pic's here to show them off?
