The Liberty Radio Network has launched as a separate website now instead of just being a page on the FTL site. Of course, now it's glaringly obvious we need a logo for the top of the site: http://libertyradionetwork.com
Specs are 440x100
Additionally, we could use something to fill the default graphic here:
http://libertyradionetwork.com/blog/
Specs on that one are 600x200
Are you graphically talented? Care to submit your designs? Email lrn@libertyradionetwork.com with your ideas.

do you want the same tagline in it? "Revolution, taking your city to a higher level"?
-
Liberty radio network the Evolution of Talk radio
and you can have rush as a monkey

No tagline. Just a logo.

Sounds like a good reason for me to mess around with photoshop 7 for some nostalgia value.
I'll give it a go over the next couple days.
-
Got one at http://libertyradionetwork.com thanks to Zeus Legion!

hells yeah. I love the black and yellow

HEY,, I was going to say that.

I've worked this up from google and photoshop, I'm currently negotiating with dale to maybe have him draw it up. I was going to use it for my own LRN station when I get my transmitter, but I would be honored if LRN was interested in using it for their official seal...
The motto at the top is just a placeholder, for the finished version I'm looking to get someone to translate 'rights require no permission' or a similar phrase into latin.

I like the logo but I'm wondering if the skull is a little out there? Maybe I'm being lame since i love skulls and all that.

C'mon, you need some mainstream symbolism to sucker people into tuning in...

the logo as it is reminds me of the NY Post.
-
Kunst is right. I was looking for the logo. I'm going to play on photoshop for a while.

I wasted about three pages on thumbnail ideas this week and a couple hours behind the monitor this morning.
I thought futura (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Futura_(typeface)) was fitting because it reminded me of the advent of broadcast radio in the early 20th century.
MARK!

I really like this one. It is understated and classy looking. That might not match the show but as a design it is very eye catching.
I suspect the skull with a headset microphone is more in keeping with the show style. The shield and extra stuff around the skull isn't needed.

:D thanks!
and as far as I know, the LRN is a collection o podcasts as opposed to just one.

I really like that second one kunst, and I also like that you used that font it does remind me of the old NBC Rainbow room sort of font, like art deco or something.
-
I like the second one also.
I'd like it better if the thick border was the same all the way around the yellow.. and I'd love to see a vintage radio (one of the stand-up ones, positive/negative clip-art style) to the left or right.
Couldn't find any clip art that I'm picturing, but here's a coupe things for inspiration maybe..

I'm with everybody's notion that Kunst's seconds art deco logo is the best.
Here is my contribution:

That would look better with a vintage radio in it.

TheHX I like your graphic elements best. Not a fan of the text elements in this application.
Are you familiar with the old RKO logo of the broadcast tower on top of a globe with a biplane flying around it?
I see the potential for your to be a spoofed update of that concept and combine it with the art deco letter head logo previously presented.
For example having a modern sat dishs on a tower graphic with signal rays coming off it. I have no idea what you could have flying around the tower or if that would make it too busy. Or possibly something to do with computers some how.
You are most likely correct this thread is really old and who knows if the requester is still paying attention to ideas or not.
-
Good suggestions, I will take them under advisement
-
You could also try flipping the word "Network" and making it read WestSouthEast instead of ESW .
-
Another good suggestion, but oddly easier said than done.. photoshop has a little weirdness when it comes to putting text on a path
-
Looks good, and would print up nice. I liked the old radio suggestion, maybe that could be worked into the base or above the world? The only thing that bugs me about this logo is that Cuba is represented as the center of the Hemisphere. Perhaps you could make one centered on the USA?

Eh .. probably won't be too worried about that sort of thing unless the guys specifically request that change

Eh, got that 80's Miami Vice lookin font/style thing going on. Tubbs & Crocket would be proud.
