Harassed for Carrying a Gun

(1/3) > >>

Pilot_MKN:
I'd like to hear stories from anyone who's been harassed for carrying concealed or open carry and how the encounter went.

Here in MS all carrying is considered concealed and I only know one person who carried openly and someone at the grocery store snitched him out to the cops (thankfully he had a permission slip).

Also, I'd like to hear from anyone who drives for a living, delivers pizza, etc for their opinions on carrying a gun while on the clock. I am a commercial driver for a major auto parts company and its expressly against company policy to have a weapon but I carry one anyway since I have to drive through several rough areas in the state and actually had a police chief in one town recommend that I have one on me.

Cognitive Dissident:
According to the asshole feds, I can't even HAVE a gun if I'm a cannabis patient.  Funny how having a medical condition deprives me of a constitutional right.  Fuckers.

Sam Gunn (since nobody got Admiral Naismith):
Not much here.  I've open carried before they banned it too.  Only time I've been harrassed was when target shooting out on BLM land and I had the Fed Ranger tell me to put my gun on the ground and walk over to him, where he then proceeded to lecture me about leaving shot casings on the ground and how that is littering, etc. and he would write me a ticket for littering if I didn't clean up all of the casings.  I told him I was shooting a cap and ball pistol which does not have casings and he got upset then left.

I've heard a lot of horrifying stories about my comrades out here having troubles with their black rifles, but I don't have a black rifle and have never had difficulties.

Bill Brasky:

I really don't give a fuck about people who carry pistols on their hips.

AOD_Horseman:
While not exactly a gun story, I've had security called on me for a cell phone on my hip because it happened to be under a trench coat. Security handled it very well, assuming if it was a gun, I was either licensed to carry it or at least not robbing them. I'm sure actual police would've been less professional.

I have also had a cop draw on me for a pair of wooden bokken my friend and I were toying around with, hitting each other with them and not severing limbs.

Did I mention he was watching us hit each other with them, on said friend's property, for about half an hour? Jackass.
