Zombie rights.
« on: October 03, 2010, 02:38:05 PM »

So I'm watching an episode of Lost Tapes on the Animal Planet about zombies, and it got me thinking. Do zombies deserve some sort of rights? Is it wrong to kill a zombie, even if they are not a direct threat to you? Would it be reasonable to try and move towards an integrated society that recognizes the liberty of the undead?

If we use the history zombies in literature and cinema, it does appear that they have limited memory, very low reasoning skills and some level of self identification. I think I'd have to recognize the rights of the undead.

It would be like letting your town become infested with Lions and Tigers. Ya gotta put a bullet through their head, then double tap em.

Thanks for solving that for us Dale! Also, now that I've seen all the non-rated R parts of the movie via the movie, I dont have to watch the full thing with the parts I dislike.

My non-human "rights" theory: if it doesn't want to hurt me and I don't want to eat it, I'll leave it alone.

For years I had suspected and now here is proof, zombies are gay. Does this make me a necro-homo-phobe. Although, I think I could support gay zombie marriage.

If they can contract (more or less, agree to eat only the brains of those who consent, I guess) then they can have rights.  I think zombie folklore has it they can't, so no rights, I think.
