I have to say, I have never been so completely pwned in my whole life. I get pissed and cancel my account, think better of it and come back only to find Toars and Keely working out details to go on a date.
My bad, Toars.... Apparently the consensus here is that I was wrong in my behavior (again). My apologies. Won't happen again. Going forward I'll try to keep my posts issue-specific and not be critical of what I think is wrong but instead just express what I think is good and positive. You are who you are, and it was wrong of me to criticize and cast aspersions on you. What you do seems to work for you and I can't argue with success.
And JKMP, I wasn't trying to 'talk down' to you or Toars either... When I made this statement the point I was trying (unsuccessfully) to make is that I am NOT 'superior' or 'wise' in any way, but rather just the opposite:
I don't have a 'superior' anything, that's kinda the point. If I'm 'smarter', faster, 'better looking' or whatever than someone else, my first reaction is NOT to humiliate them..... Does anyone here have any kind of decency or humility AT ALL??
...And P.S., what I did was not 'talking down' to anyone. Here's me talking down to you:
Son, I've had to put up with your type since before you were an itch in daddy's pants. And I can't have you reading me any stories until you learn to spell.... (It's 'intellect', not 'intelect).
I was just using the age and spelling thing to show what it would be LIKE to talk down to you..... The reason it was so offensive to you is because it would be hypocritical of me to do that. That's why I don't. But as far as being 'wiser' than you or Toars, as far as I'm concerned the two of you are both smarter than me, and age has nothing to do with it. I may have more life experience due to my age, but the nearly unanimous support you both have gotten (either by positive statement or silence) on this board demonstrates this.... At least in this community.
Now, in a calmer tone than I used previously, I'll try again to state my case:
I just think it would be great to break the cycle of abuse on this board, and rather than cursing the darkness I would like to light a candle:
I think you two are by and large an asset to this board, and I'm sure in the grand scheme of things you're both pretty good people.
I really honestly meant everything I said about the ladies, the guys (AND Hologene :D) as Sososly, but I just have a natural tendency to say nice things about people if I appreciate what they have to say..... I've always been like that (and no, I wasn't trying to 'hit' on HR, I just get a kick out of someone, ANYONE with a powerful mind and the ability to overcome adversity and maintain a sense of humor). This is just how I am.... You are just how you are. I'll live and let live if you will...... Or even if you won't.
Now, I KNOW I'll get a shitstorm of ratty comments as a result of this posting but I guess I have it coming for being such a biyotch and dumping my account..... Oh well, if there's one thing life has taught me, its that a man has to take his lumps once in a while! :)
