I don't like this over-reliance on YouTube, Google Video, and other such sites. It's centralized, filled with annoying ads (or soon will be), and under their complete control. The Flash-based player has lots of limitations. Etc. It just goes against that rugged spirit of self-reliance that libertarianism should encourage.
Using BitTorrent would be much better, and the
Democracy Player makes it very easy for newbies to watch. BitTorrent is also much faster and more efficient when multiple people on the same LAN or cable-modem neighborhood download the same video. Finally, P2P has a cascading effect, the more people use it today, the more people will use it tomorrow.
Won't you rather empower a grass-roots network of peers than a billion-dollar corporation that only wants to shove ads down your throat?
