Yeah it is. But youtubes layout isn't much better than myspace garbage. It's hard to find anything that doesn't look like crap.

We need a "group" on YouTube for liberty-oriented videos. I'm putting together playlists of videos about "how f--ked up is America?" (with lots of videos about Pat Robertson and all those other nutty fundagelicals) and some vids about the drug war etc. would certainly help my future viewers gain some libertarian sentiments...

I don't like this over-reliance on YouTube, Google Video, and other such sites.  It's centralized, filled with annoying ads (or soon will be), and under their complete control.  The Flash-based player has lots of limitations.  Etc.  It just goes against that rugged spirit of self-reliance that libertarianism should encourage.

Using BitTorrent would be much better, and the Democracy Player makes it very easy for newbies to watch.  BitTorrent is also much faster and more efficient when multiple people on the same LAN or cable-modem neighborhood download the same video.  Finally, P2P has a cascading effect, the more people use it today, the more people will use it tomorrow.

Won't you rather empower a grass-roots network of peers than a billion-dollar corporation that only wants to shove ads down your throat?

BitTorrent isn't ideal for distributing smaller files; it only really gets efficient for files larger than 50 MB or so, (ballpark) and most videos shared online come well below this, especially when compressed and streamed out.

As for YouTube and the like, what exactly is the problem again?
