Seriously, who didn't play suicide bomber as a child? Those are some of my foundest memories. We would use candy canes and a belt to strap them across our chests.

We played chicken with pocket knives, darts, and later bb guns.  We had our own wild west shoot outs - weren't supposed to aim above the shoulders.  Damn those bb's stung!

Yeah, BB gun fights were cool, the rule was you could only pump it one time (yeah right) and you had to wear eye protection. One kid got a BB lodged about 1/8 inch in his skull and his mom who was a nurse had to dig it out.

Ran around the neighborhood around 4th of july shooting bottle rockets out of copper tubes at each other. That was fun.

Since you mentioned bottle rockets - that reminds me of a couple of things me and my friends did with them when we were kids.

I lived in a small town (Paris, TX) and one of us would get on the roof of our house (on the back side of the roof) and another on the other side of the street a guy would get on the back side of his roof - so we're both using slanted surfaces facing each other and fire off rockets at each other.  Its a wonder we never started a fire, but we didn't.

Another time later when I was a jr in high school, one of us had a Honda 100 motorcycle and we would take turns riding the bike in a circle around about 5 or 6 guys that would shoot bottle rockets at the guy on the bike.  One guy (Brett Jones) got hit in the face with one and wore an eye patch on the school bus for like a month!

We did the same sort of thing but with a boat and we were much older. One group would get in the boat and the other remained on shore. The funniest time was when a live bottle rocket land directly on the gas tank at the back of the boat. The entire “crew” jumped into the water rather fast except for the guy steering. He just kept trying to steer the boat away from the rocket which of course was impossible but very funny to watch.

Of course there was large amount of alcohol involved.
