How big is your monitor? On a 22" widescreen, it's damn near perfect, since 1680 pixels is too damn wide for a single browser window. I tried running two windows side-by-side, but that made them too narrow for a lot of sites.

I think you can set the tab-bar to auto-hide in the preferences, and if you have the Mouse Gestures extension, you can switch tabs without it, by holding down the right mouse button and using the scrollwheel.

Foxmarks is now Xmarks - it's going multi-browser.

I still use the same add-ons I've mentioned above, except I'm on the "bleeding-edge" alpha version of Firebug.

I'm still using Firefox.  I said I was gonna transition to Chromium once the Linux/BSD versions are stable for licensing reasons, but never did...

My current add-ons: Adblock Plus, Download Statusbar, Firebug, Flagfox, Lazarus, NoSquint, Transliterator, and Xmarks.

The Windows version also gets polluted with a "Free Download Manager plugin" and "Java Console" from third party apps.

From another thread:

[...]  Firefox extensions:
Adblock Plus - Blocks Ads
Downloadhelper - Download embedded shit of all sorts. I use it to gank flash games and youtube vids.
Flashblock - Blocks Flash
Gmail Notifier - Obvious
Reloadevery - Sets open tabs to reload periodically
Stumbleupon - Click for random awesome, vote for what you like or don't get better results the more you use.
Webmail Notifier - Obvious

[...]  and Firefox with:

AdBlock Plus
Download Helper
IE Tab
Weather Watcher Live
Xmarks
